Defendork/Arley’s commissions!

I’m pretty flexible with what I can do, so if you’re unsure as to what I can offer, just discuss it with me! But, down to prices.

All of the prices have a base price for the specific type, and things such as backgrounds or extra characters with cost a variety of extra, depending on how many or of what complexity.

Complex designs themselves will always cost most as there will always be more details to attain to.

Chibis however will usually have a reduced price as they are far more simpler to do.

About paintings:

Paintings generally take me a REALLY long time to do considering they are usually made without the type of lineart I usually work with, and I am a pretty slow painter when it comes from building from the ground up. If you are to commission those, please note that it will be a long process for me to be happy and pleased with it enough to provide you the results.

Payment: I only take money via paypal, sadly.

Things to note: I can possibly do NSFW subjects, but they will also take a bit longer to do. I also have to be comfortable at least somewhat with the subject, so most extreme fetishes I probably won’t do. If it’s something you’ll want, it’ll cost a bit extra but you’re free to discuss the type of subject required.

I’ll be taking a few slots, and I’ll edit this post whenever I’m closed with them to say closed at the top. If it doesn’t say so, I’m always open!

To The Past

As the stranger talked, the swordsman moved to sit on one of the garden’s many stones so he could better observe. Of course, while still listening to his words. Words perhaps he didn’t even need to listen. He suspected he would ask something of the sort.

“…The why?” The wanderer began, pausing after. He needed to think quickly and be careful not to reveal much while avoiding raising suspiciousness. “…And why not, might I ask? There are things only those who watch from afar can learn. It is a bit hasty to think entertainment only belongs to those who participate, hm…? Back here, you can observe those who pass by… listen to the music and notice the little details people often miss…” Yasuo said as he kept his sight focused. “…See that child?” The swordsman said as he pointed out to a kid walking with his mother close to a stall - his head low and his steps were slow “…Notice how sad he is. His mother trying to cheer him up. Earlier on, I saw this same child having an argument with one of his friends, or at least a kid of the same age… he apparently is not taking it so well.“

The swordsman takes a quick sip from his flask before continuing “You learn a great deal about people by observing them… and it is an interesting experience. But good to hear you are enjoying yourself, in any case. Many seek Ionia by this time of the year with the same purpose. That aside, you do not need to keep me company if it is not your wish. Enjoy the festival while you can… it only happens once every year, after all… you would not want to miss it now because of some stranger you’ve met in the back of a garden, would you? While you are at it, make sure to try some たこ焼き if you like octopus or かき氷 if you’re a fan of ice cream. Used to have many of those when I was a child… too bad I don’t have the money.”

At the mention of food, the Defender fell silent and seemed to just phase out as he started to recall all of the food types that he's seen so far just today. A lot of it was heavily based around seafood, and he wasn't very keen on eating most of it. Perhaps at some point he could try it, but today he wasn't interested in testing out foreign food sources outside of sweets and delicacies that he actually believes he wouldn't get sick from.

At the mention of ice cream though on top of the other saying he apparently had no money to enjoy said festive treats, an idea popped into the man's mind. This man here had been the only one who seemed to want to converse with him so far at this event, outside of those running the stalls of course. But even then, the conversations themselves seemed to be influenced due to his garment issue. Still, this man had given him a little bit of reassuring company, and Jayce figured it'd be nice to give the man a little bit of a treat to compensate for it.

Coming back to his senses after all of his thoughts and ideas slowed to a halt, his lips thinned and curled into a lighthearted smile before he pushed himself to his feet, taking a few steps forward before speaking out to the other.

"If you'd like, I'd request that you stay here for just a moment. You caught my interest at the idea of ice cream treats, although I don't believe I'd ever be able to pronounce that word properly. Give me just a moment, and I'll actually return with one for you. You've been the first person willing to converse so far outside of 'sales,' so I'd like to talk to you further. Perhaps you can help me with a study of mine. I do hope you'll accept my offer though, especially since you said you haven't had anything like it in a while."

With that said, Jayce continued on to the festival and the stalls once more, finding his way through a small crowd in order to get two ice cream treats. Something about that man's attire struck him as odd compared to everyone else's garments he's seen, not including those designed specifically for the Revel. Perhaps there's some significance to it based on which part of the island he's from, but he'd have to inquire more to learn.

It’d be a couple of minutes after buying the ice cream treats before he started to making his way back towards the stranger, mostly just hoping he would actually accept the offer.

           'Hey there.’

Simple and plain, the man’s voice rang inside Yasuo’s ears. It was a rather soothing voice - not extremelly low or high pitched. It was suave. Judging by the man’s bulkiness, which was apparent even with the yukata he wore and his strong jaw among other boastful features, the ronin had expected the voice coming out from his mouth to be much less refined.

Regardless of his prediction not being correct, his composture remained the same. There was no response to the piltovian’s greeting for a second or two. Yasuo remained as he were, not turning his head to look at the stranger directly in the eyes, but instead letting out a sigh as he weighed his words before speaking. It was not his intent to oppose conversation, so much he knew. It was quite the opposite. But the other didn’t, so he needed to speak soon.

The first thing that came to mind was the man’s yukata. Yasuo had glanced at it briefly with the corner of his eye as he approached and he noticed something immediately. It was evident there was something wrong with it and instead of a proper greeting, he thought proper advice would be much more useful.

“…Funny time to make a tribute to the dead…” The samurai began with a hint of sarcasm. He didn’t avert his eyes to watch the other’s reaction but he was certain an explanation was in order. Before Jayce could manifest himself, Yasuo’s lips parted once more “…Your kimono.” He said at first before a brief pause “…The way you wear it tells us you are dead. Unless that is the case, I would suggest you fix that. The left front should be over the right.”

There was a another pause before the next comment “…I am sure you must have thought the glances were simply due to you being an outsider… the people of Ionia are polite. Rarely someone will say it to your face… a good part is highly superstitious… they might see you like this as the new year approaches and think of it as an ill omen. Some might not, given the fact you are clearly not from here and thus not used to our ways. They might just think you a fool.”

The swordsman’s gaze had never strayed from the view before him throughout the entire explanation. There was but a brief movement of his right arm, reaching out for his flask as he takes a sip from it - the next moment, the container rests where it once belonged. Amidst their little conversation, the taiko drums rang everywhere along with the shamisen, shakuhachi and other traditional Ionian instruments played by the artists spread across the village. The swordsman felt allured by the ambiance and his tone was ever so calm.

“That aside… hi. I assume you approach me for a reason?”

Staring at the other with an almost baffled look on his face, the Defender hadn't thought about whether or not he had dressed himself correctly or not. Looking back over at the crowd he had walked through, a twinge of shame coursed through him as he now realized he had potentially made a fool of himself. Or scared some folk, if they were as spiritual as the man had hinted.

Taking a few moments to adjust his attire and fixing it to be the appropriate way, he cleared his throat as he tried to pass off his own possible embarrassment before addressing the man once more when he was done speaking. "You'll have to forgive the intrusion, but at least where I come from when there's festivals like these happening, everyone who's actually there participates. They don't just idly watch. Why is it that you're not joining? I might just be a visitor here but I feel like you're missing out on a lot of fun by just watching from afar."

Looking back towards the crowd as some kids started cheering and running around after winning a prize, Jayce took a quick glimpse through his peripheral to monitor the other's expression as he took a seat on the ground a little bit away from the other. Adjusting to sit on his knees, he made sure he wouldn't get anything muddy or grimy on the festival garment before voicing out again.

"I've only ever seen something like this in books, and I ended up coming here because I wanted to see the liveliness of the event. It's about as exciting as the Harrowing we have at my ho-- oh dear." Turning his head quickly, the man offered a quick smile before bowing his head in apologies.

"You'll have to forgive the small babble. You're the first person I've came across so far that has spoken commonly to me. Then again, to everyone else I was potentially dead to them. Tad awkward, I'll admit. But you also look like you could use the company since you're here watching a celebration by yourself. I suppose it's not in my place, but it's strange of me to see such a lively festival 'ignored,' so to speak."

Ionia - Lunar Revel - One Year Ago

“…Even amidst war, the people of Ionia find time to celebrate. Moonlight bathed the people beneath the starry sky, along with lanterns hanging from strings carefully placed among the busy gardens…”

“There was always something about the smell of the food coming from the stalls and the entrancing rythim of the Taiko drums. Nights like that never failed to make me feel happy - or at least by the time, the closest I could get to happiness… and that one night, I decided to approach a small village to the northeast. A simple place that seemed not to have been affected by the Noxian invasion yet… people over there carried on with their lives and celebrated. What would I not give to be able to walk among them… to remember what once felt like to talk to someone without concern… to only look back to greet a warm smile, instead of cold daggers…”

“…But I knew that was not my place anymore… and so I chose to watch from afar, close to some trees behind some of the village’s abodes… I did not know how long I would be able to stay unnoticed… news from my past actions probably hadn’t reached these people, but wherever people gathered, patrols would certainly appear - specially since the Revel always lured strangers within the island. It was always curious to see the different faces dressed in traditional Ionian garb.”

“As I watched, I wondered if there would be a soul to keep me company that night as I stood apart from the crowd… thoughts crossed my mind as the sights brought back memories I always held close to my heart.”

“…Brother…”

‘Brother! I can’t best you in a sword fight yet— but I can certainly kick your ass in one of those games! Come on! Pick one!’

‘Oh, is that so brother? Alright, but let’s eat something first… then I can gladly beat you in one of the games. You didn’t eat anything ever since we left school. I know you take your training seriously bu—’

‘Bah! Your sermons are boring. I want to become the best swordsman! Even better than you!’

*sigh* All in good time, Yasuo…’

“…I suddenly felt a presence… and my eyes immediately searched for its owner… I couldn’t call the person out if I wanted to remain unnoticed. It was a foreign presence - little did I know my wishes for that night would become reality…”

“By the time I saw the person approaching, I remained where I was. It took me a bit to see his face, but I sighed in relief at the moment I noticed the person coming my way was not Ionian. It was but a foreigner probably lost or looking for someone who spoke their language to help him get around. Those were my thoughts at the moment. It never crossed my mind that man coming closer would grow to become a friend… more than that, actually. So I chose to remain silent and waited to hear his voice…”

"When I had first came to Ionia, I never really expected all of the festivities to have the exact same aura as those from home. I would've expected a more.. I wouldn't describe it as stranger but I had figured it would feel different. But it didn't. It was still exciting and thrilling, and I wouldn't ever trade it for a 'better' one."

“I even prepared just a little bit by buying one of the traditional garments from one of the tailors from Little Ionia. It was far more comfortable than I thought they would be, too. Then again, I tend to wear bulky armor that is more of a hassle than a blessing more often than not.”

"With how crowded the village felt during the festival, I almost forgot that it was actually supposed to be one of the more remote ones. I had heard that there was a lot of areas still heavily impacted by the war, and I tried my best to avoid most of those places as much as possible. I still wanted to visit the island, though. It sounds selfish, I know. Experiencing the Revel celebrations firsthand by its source wasn't the only reason why I enjoyed my stay, though."

"With all of the games and excitement and food arrangements scattered along both sides of the street, it reminded me a lot of how the Harrowing festivals go in Piltover. In fact, they were always crowded and it was hard to ever find someone not participating in something like that. Which, now that I think about it, makes a lot of sense as to why I found something very strange about it all.."

A short pause of silence passed before he spoke up again.

"I don't think I ever considered really befriending this person until later on, but when I looked around after taking a break from playing a mini game involving the scooping of fish, I spotted someone who seemed to be just.. Watching the festival rather than wanting to enjoy it. I didn't find it suspicious, but rather strange. It wasn't common to see things like that where I came from, so I figured I would at least pry and see if I could just convince the figure to have some fun."

"I didn't expect to actually fall for that person, but in the end things just happened the way they did. I'm not complaining, I only wish I could compensate more time to build this bond better with the man who became quite a good friend to me, even with his mysterious traits at times."

"I know when I approached him, I got a strange vibe from the man initially. It was clear I was unwanted, or at least the presence alone was. Whether it was just simply due to me being foreign or just me being there at all, I'm quite glad that I chose to 'disturb' him that day. I did, however, end up not being very creative in my introduction and merely just started with a simple 'Hey there.' Not clever or suave, I know, but at the time my intent was just to convince the man to join the festival so he could actually feel and enjoy the fun rather than just watch from afar."

Flames had no idea how many strange looks she was getting. It might be her chipper mood for her day one adventure out of Bandle City or the fact she had already picked a fight with someone. Both hands had specks of blood as well as the pseudo weapon that she had on her knuckles. If that wasn’t clear she had been in a fact, one of her eyes looked a bit swollen and her bottom lip was still bleeding, though she kept sucking on it.

‘That’s what they get for trying to pat my head! I just washed my hair.’ Flames thought to herself, stretching. “Ow!” She placed her arms back to her side. Never do that again after a fight. That felt like she dislocated her shoulder. “Oh…is that a house?” She asked herself, stopping in front of the house, peering in the window. All the buildings were strange…but this appeared to be a home.

“Argh!” She fell back when she noticed something…small and white suddenly appeared. “Baby yordle?!” She screeched…at herself, staring at the strange creature. “…Wait…I read about you guys…” She said, continuing to speak to herself as she scooted herself next to the window, intensely staring at it. “Now…what the hell are you called now…should’ve listened to my teacher…something about cold.”

At first, the Defender was more confused as to why he could hear his poro chirping and scratching lightly at one of his windows in the living room. Coming over to see what the commotion was about from within the kitchen, Jayce blinked a few times as he saw a pair of fluffy ears sticking up in the window. It wasn't exactly strange to see yordles, but it played more into how his history with yordles wasn't exactly all good or all bad.

Scooping up Porie, Jayce decided to see what the person was up to since his little fuzzy pet seemed quite interested in playing with the stranger itself. What harm could it possibly do?

Opening the door, the Hero watched as Porie immediately scrambled from his hand and hopped onto the floor, its tiny little body quite swift for what it was as it hopped up to the unfamiliar yordle. It sniffed at the person's boots for a short while before leaping up against its body and landing on her head, rolling about within her hair.

"Sorry about him. He's quite energetic around new people he likes, and it seems like you're one of the people he instantly likes." With a light smirk, the Hero closed the door behind him and folded his arms, resting against the door frame and watched the little poro roll around. He wondered if this was another yordle that came here to try to be a student and enroll in one of the schools here.
