A Day In Bed

Adam has been a wrestler a few years longer than you have but this didn't mean the schedule got easier over the year. Instead, you just got used to it. At times Adam miss when he wasn't on the road but he was never happy with how things ended, but that's a story for a different day.
Today was a very rare day any wrestler got. It was a day off. You, Adam alone together free to spend time together at home. No traveling and no having to go to any arenas. Of course, you loved the fans but getting a break was amazing.
You were the first awake and decided that Adam deserved breakfast in bed. While making breakfast you could hear noise from the bedroom. Looks like Adam is awake. It will take him to realize you're not there for him to leave the room and start looking for you.
There is one side to Adam that only you see. That side? The sleepy, clingy Adam. He was very adorable when that side of him showed and today was a day when that side of Adam made an appearance.
There were footsteps coming towards the kitchen which told you that Adam had woken up enough to know you weren't next to him. Adam had a feeling you'd be in the kitchen since it was often that you made breakfast if you had the time.
A sleepy smile made its way onto Adam's face when he saw you making breakfast. He loved seeing you look so calm, but Adam being in the clingy mood he was in wanted cuddles. This led to him standing behind you with his arms around your waist and his head on your shoulder with his eyes closed showing that he was indeed still very sleepy.
You glance at him to see if you could pick up on his mood and of course, you could. This caused you to smile and tell him that breakfast was almost done and there was coffee waiting for him. He just hummed in response, clearly not awake enough to respond with words. You told him to go back to bed and that you'd be there soon with breakfast and he listened.
Once Adam had let you go, you started moving around a little quickly so everything was done and he didn't have to wait and be alone long. It took a few minutes to get everything done before heading to your shared bedroom. The first thing you see after opening the door is Adam trying to stay awake but the sound of the door had helped him wake up.
The same smile from before was back on his face when he saw you. You had set the food in the middle of the bed and sat beside Adam. You watch him as he grabbed his plate. His reaction to your cooking always made you smile and feel proud. Adam had realized you were looking at him and all he did was tell you to eat so you and him could cuddle.
You did was he said because you knew it wasn't often that Adam was like this. Once you finished you moved the plates and set them on the bedside table and laid down so Adam could get the cuddles he wants. Adam saw what you were doing and immediately cuddled into your side.
Adam had his head on your chest and his arms wrapped around your waist. A smile was very visible on his face. Adam loved moments where it was just you and him. You had started to play with Adam's hair and you told him the one thing on your mind. That being “You’re unbelievably cute when you’re tired.” Adam just smiled and closed his eye. He was happy and he already had a feeling you found his current mood cute.
A few minutes later and Adam was fully asleep. You weren't far behind him. Being in Adam's arms always makes you feel safe and comfortable which made it a little to not fall asleep in his arms. Today was an exception to not allowing yourself to fall asleep in his arms unless it was night.
That day was spent with very few trips to other places. What went unseen was the smiles that stayed on your and Adam's faces while you two were asleep. Two happy lovers getting to enjoy each other's company after long busy months.
