was just Remembering how you’d be out with a friend and you’d each order a different cocktail and you’d ask “what’d you get?” and they’d read the description off the menu and you’d be like “ooh that sounds good” and then they’d say “try it!” and then you’d have a lil sip of their drink and they’d have a lil sip of your drink and you’d decide which one was best and you wouldn’t give each other a life-threatening respiratory infection

but anyway!!!!! if you’re tired of period dramas about white lesbians in forbidden love, just watch more movies about wlwoc!!! our movies exist! our stories exist!!! just because they don’t get as much hype as carol/poalof/ammonite doesn’t mean they don’t exist!!! do your research and support more lesbian/bi/trans women filmmakers of colour! support dee rees! support cheryl dunye! support desiree akhavan, maryam keshavarz, sydney freeland, alice wu, tracey choi, shamim sarif, gazal dhaliwal, isabel sandoval, vera egito, vicky du, nisha ganatra, nahnatchka khan, zero chou, just to name a few!! yes it sucks that white stories are given precendence over theirs, but complaining about it while doing nothing to support them isn’t going to fix the problem. we shouldn’t just wait for the content we want to be spoonfed to us. it’s important to seek it out.

'mx' as a gender neutral title is cool tho. i dont vibe with it like just call me Francis if u wanna be formal but a lot of people DO use it and thats totally understandable. honestly thats one of the few times adding an X into a word makes sense, bc mr and ms are already gendered, a third option should be available to those who prefer that.

but folx and yxll are still painfully stupid, unneeded (folks and yall are already gender neutral like???) and limit accessibility for dyslexic ppl & ppl who use text to speech programs & ppl whos first language isnt english. like its painfully performative and not needed.

I'm a Kentuckian and if I saw "yxll" in the wild I'd probably black tf out and not stop my feral rampaging until taken out with a tranquilizer dart and airlifted back to my natural habitat, tbh

I think if you're going to be weird on purpose you have to offset it with being nice. If you're weird and mean I'm going to hit you with a shovel
