Peter took her hand in his, and enthusiastically, encouraged her to let the rest of herself out into the downpour. “You sound like heaven right now,” he said, inviting all levels of romantic cheese into the conversation before they were even home to enjoy their melted cheese dinner.
{ ღ } She gives his hand a squeeze and lets slip a laugh as she gives up on covering any of herself from the rain. “Between food and me, I think you’ve gotten a good idea of heaven with the way you talk.” She grins, leaning into him as they walk. The rain isn’t so bad, honestly. It’s kind of nice to just have a night with him. No Oscorp, No crazies.
“I wouldn’t know whether heaven is found in the way I talk or not, but I feel it’s embodied in every bit of you.” That was warranting a kiss in the rain. Better to consider it in the next few blocks they walk. Lest they get in the way of the market’s turnstile door. “I’ll take a cold wet night with you under stormy clouds over a bar full of hookers and sexist pigs any day.”
