THIS β HAS β SOMETHING β TO β DO β WITH β POTTER!β βSeverus β be reasonable β Harry has been locked up ββ BAM. The door of the hospital wing burst open. Fudge, Snape, and Dumbledore came striding into the ward. Dumbledore alone looked calm. Indeed, he looked as though he was quite enjoying himself. Fudge appeared angry. But Snape was beside himself. βOUT WITH IT, POTTER!β he bellowed. βWHAT DID YOU DO?β βProfessor Snape!β shrieked Madam Pomfrey. βControl yourself!β βSee here, Snape, be reasonable,β said Fudge. βThis doorβs been locked, we just saw ββ βTHEY HELPED HIM ESCAPE, I KNOW IT!β Snape howled, pointing at Harry and Hermione. His face was twisted; spit was flying from his mouth. βCalm down, man!β Fudge barked. βYouβre talking nonsense!β βYOU DONβT KNOW POTTER!β shrieked Snape. βHE DID IT, I KNOW HE DID IT ββ βThat will do, Severus,β said Dumbledore quietly. βThink about what you are saying. This door has been locked since I left the ward ten minutes ago. Madam Pomfrey, have these students left their beds?β βOf course not!β said Madam Pomfrey, bristling. βI would have heard them!β βWell, there you have it, Severus,β said Dumbledore calmly. βUnless you are suggesting that Harry and Hermione are able to be in two places at once, Iβm afraid I donβt see any point in troubling them further.β Snape stood there, seething, staring from Fudge, who looked thoroughly shocked at his behavior, to Dumbledore, whose eyes were twinkling behind his glasses. Snape whirled about, robes swishing behind him, and stormed out of the ward. βFellow seems quite unbalanced,β said Fudge, staring after him. βIβd watch out for him if I were you, Dumbledore.β βOh, heβs not unbalanced,β said Dumbledore quietly. βHeβs just suffered a severe disappointment.β
Poor Snape. Book 3 was really bad for him. Dealing with Remus' passive aggression. Having to brew wolfsbane potion for the guy who nearly killed him years ago and said guy not seeming to care too much about said detail. Dealing with Sirius again and having him escape. Then having Dumbles gaslight him - sometimes I just have to shake my head at his old man. What a shady character. Can't believe people call these men friends. Dumbles is not Snape's friend. A friend doesn't get amusement from their friend's uncontrollable rage. Not to mention I don't know how Snape can truly be friends with the man who was his headmaster in school - the age difference is too great for a close friendship IMO. Plus Dumbles contributed to making Snape's school life hell. I literally don't understand how Snape could be friends with him OR Minerva.
If I were a better writer, I would write a fic where Snape tells both Voldy and Dumbles to screw themselves, throws Lily's memory in the trash where it belongs, moves far away from Hogwarts, opens up a successful apothecary and marries and has a small family with a lovely woman who adores him. I just want this poor man to have all the good things in the world and leave Harry's dim witted butt to someone else. There are fics where this happens...but they tend to make Snape gay for some reason :'(. Why is it so hard to have Snape marry a woman??
PS: I kind of like seeing Snape and Draco lose their absolute marbles over Harry. I feel bad for them but it is still amusing to see :')

He sighed deeply, theatrically pivoting his entire body to face her. With a deliberate stare, he made eye contact before appraising her entire form with his piercing obsidian eyes. His lip curled slightly. "As I said, presentable.β

Hey. I hope you're doing well. Are you still planning on updating Dealer? More importantly how are you doing now? I hope everything is good with you! I miss you.
I miss you too, fam - it's been a horribly long road. πππ
Unfortunately, I am very poorly at the moment. I do intend to continue Dealer but I am a long way off being well enough to do so; I'm not even at work at the moment, so have definitely taken a backward step in 2024 π₯
Hopefully there's a miracle cure around the corner. I'm not quite at the point of sending you all bullet points of what the rest of the plot was meant to be, but maybe that's in my future if something doesn't change π€£

Also @alwayssnilysworld - you left me some beautiful comments on Dealer and @alwaysthehbp sent me some too, and I very much appreciated reading them as they came into my inbox. I'm really sorry I haven't been well enough to reply, but they meant the world πππ (and I will reply when I get a bit better).
It really does make me feel happy to know that people are still reading and enjoying the story, despite it currently sitting on hiatus.

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.
and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.
there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.
i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

I know skinny Severus is canon and all meticulously described multiple times or whatever but Alan Rickman's soft titty and tummy have such a goddamn stranglehold on me I cannot let it go I justify it by the headcanon that he was skinny... in his 20s his metabolism was amazing. He could eat whatever he wants, and he does - because he grew up poor and Hogwarts food is so fucking good. He takes double dessert when its his favorite and takes a plate of something for his chambers in the middle of the night. He's gotten comfortable with this. It's been a long time since he has had to worry about his next meal or horde food. It is nice. Eating is a comfort. But then somewhere in his early 30's it changed. He was getting a little older, life was getting more stressful... It wasn't fast, it wasn't anything concerning, but he put weight on. Pudgy tummy Severus. The bravest of teachers (Minerva) sometimes pokes the bear - 'I remember when you were just a beanpole-!' Severus doesn't mind the weight. A mix of not giving a shit how he looks and not minding how it makes him look. If anything he feels a little warmer in the winter these days, and that's nice. He does mind the teasing. It's a good way to make him instantly irritated. But that's just because he is sore to teasing in general. Uhhhh yeah so that is my essay on Movie Snape's godly body being canon in my heart, thanks for coming, please come again this weekend where I gush about Remus Lupins mustache

one of the commissions iβve done recently lol - they basically wanted something with narcissa having snape over for tea and him being awkward and gave me free reign so I made it for snape to get to know his future ~favorite student~. Β So Snape is hearing about how good at quidditch he is (even tho he is what like 8 lol), and probably thinking about how much this kid is going to get beat upΒ
