jeon wonwoo. the ex that you have a crush on. you two had a thing back in 8th grade yet now when you think about it you cringe since it brings back too many bad memories. he cheated on you with kim seyoung, the schools ‘it’ girl. it wasn’t a surprise yet it upset you so much.

“baby! it’s not what you think! she came onto me!” wonwoo yelled as he chased you from the canteen. you saw your boyfriend making out with another girl. “wonwoo! im not that blind and quite frankly i don’t give a shit who came on to who! you let her sit on your lap! you put your tongue in her mouth!” you screamed back, tears streaming down your cheeks. “im so sorry baby! please! give me a chance!” he said, tears beginning to also go down his cheeks. “don’t fucking baby me wonwoo! fuck you!” you screamed, strutting off.

sometimes you wonder if you should’ve forgiven him. should’ve just given him another chance. “hey! pay attention! do you want another detention?” the teacher waved her hand in front of your face to wake you from your daydream. it was the dreaded exam season and you were bored out of your mind. “sorry miss.” was all you could say before you began taking notes.

“hey! you know that wonwoo likes seyoung?” your friend said, your smile turning into a frown. “soojung! she likes wonwoo! what the fuck was that?” your best friend scolds her. the bell rang as you quickly packed your bags and ran as fast as you could back home. going straight to your room you collapsed onto your bed, tears staining your cheeks. after about 30 minutes of sobbing, your bedroom door opened.

it was your best friend mingyu. “i brought over ice cream and chocolate!” he said as he put his bags down and walked over to you. “hey, are you ok?” he said, rubbing your back. you turned to face him, mascara running down your cheeks. you began sobbing again as he pulled you in for a hug. “shhhh, mingyu is here let it all out.” he said, hugging you tighter as you rested your face on his shoulder. “it’ll get better, i promise you. why don’t you take the day off tomorrow? i’ll stay with you.” he assured you. “it can only go up from here, right?”

“it’s fine! you’re overthinking it. you know, he does love you a lot, more than you think. look, give it some time and if nothing happens, come and talk to me. now let me watch my netflix. bye!” she ends the call. you sigh as you slump on the couch. geez, who knew a silly ship could affect someone this much?

next thing you know, the living room door creaks open, seungcheol’s head peaking in. “were you eavesdropping?” you ask him, crossing your arms. “n-no.. ok fine yes i was.” he says sitting down on the couch, arm around your shoulder.

“yeobo. i love you, you know that right?” you smile at his comment as he continues. “why would i have any reason to date jeonghan? even if you don’t have the things he have, you have the things i love the most that he certainly doesn’t have. i do love you the most, even if i don’t show it a lot, i do. it’s just fanservice, you know? i love you.” he says, pulling you in for a kiss.
