A Mutual Aid Fund was created on March 13th on GoFundMe by Amita Swadhin in response to the growing instability of funds and welfare access to those most at risk. The Fund has currently gained over $125,000 in support and is looking to make it to $250,000 as the need for the pay-outs has increased into the millions.
FTM Magazine is packaging back issues and promotional items at $25 per package with 100% of the profits going to this fund. All Digital Magazine Sales will also be 100% donated here, as well as 50% of all Full-Year Magazine Subscriptions (up to 200/$4,000).
Links to the Fund, and donation incentives via FTM are available here at this link.
I encourage everyone to share this information. Within the LGBTQ population, but specifically the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community the majority of folks work gig jobs or in the service industry and have limited access to state services and many times family support due to being non-binary, genderqueer, or gender non-conforming. This is where this fund is prioritizing it's efforts and why we are prioritizing this fund.
