Message To All Followers

To everyone who follows this blog, both new and those who have followed since the beginning, I hope this finds you well. In light of Tumblr’s recent policy changes, I too, will likely be leaving Tumblr and moving to a new site. I have not yet decided which site I will be relocating to, and will update when that has been determined. It is likely to be the same site that @ionahi moves to. I have been fond of Tumblr for years, and will be sad to go, but I am optimistic for new and better things. Thank you for following my work, I hope to see you again after the move!

“[...]the black long coat, the high leather boots with their silver spurs, and, more than anything, the elegant longsword leaning against his shoulder left no room for muddled conjecture or doubt. All those things were meant to adorn someone beautiful.  However [...] Something emanates from his body—a ghastly aura declaring that any who challenge him will die. The creatures of the wild know what the young man actually is, and the part of his description that is absolutely indispensable: He is not of this world.”

Out Of Water ‘Hylian’ Prince Sidon

[Warning: ZELDA - Breath of the Wild Spoilers below] Vah Ruta was the first dungeon I went through in Breath of the Wild, way back. I did not yet know there would be a warrior in each area to assist in the fight, since Link typically fights alone and has no companion in BotW. In fact, upon first meeting Sidon and listening to his spiel, I suspected he would be similar to Princess Ruto (carry me, slave!). I thought ‘Oh no you don’t. I know how you Zora royals operate, you can turn around and swim yourself right back up the waterfall, dude.’ I was entirely surprised when the time to fight came, and Sidon jumped in the water with the outlook of ‘get in loser, we’re fighting this!’. That pre-dungeon fight was the coolest part of the game for me. After all was said and done, I was disappointed Sidon had to stay in Zora’s domain—I wished he could have been the game’s sidekick. So I did a lot of wishful thinking, haha. And a lot of listening to [x].

Story After Vah Ruta, Sidon takes it upon himself to venture after and assist Link, as did Mipha and the others 1oo years prior. Since Zoras are somewhat terrain-limited, a certain Great Fairy grants him a Hylian form [Little Mermaid style] and off he goes! With one catch of course; magic can never truly change what or who you really are—he cannot survive out of water indefinitely! Not wanting anyone to know his real identity, he calls himself ‘Prince Ralis, of the High Seas!’.   (visuals tbc eventually)

“Wait, Sir—wait, wait, wait—wait! Sir, my crew was just—was just following my orders. I take—I take full responsibility for my actions. But they were mine, and they were mine alone [...] all that I ask is that you spare them... Please, Sir... I'll do anything you want... Just let them live.”

“I don’t want to be this way. I’m lonely. I’m lost. I mean I’m literally lost, I’ve never been in this part of the airport before. I wonder if these guys are lost too…wandering around, but never getting anywhere. Do they feel trapped? Do they want more than this? Am I the only one?”
