My obsession with TV

@constantlyshipping / constantlyshipping.tumblr.com

I have some rather eclectic likes and this is the page where I post them. (But mostly it will be my obsession for all my favorite tv and movies, including, but not limited to, Once Upon a Time, Bones, Castle, NCIS, NCIS LA, The Big Bang Theory, Agents of Shield, and my undying devotion to all things Disney)

Emma & Rumple: The TRUE main foils & adversaries of OUAT  & how this will predict Season 6′s Finale

It’s long been popular opinion that Regina is Emma’s primary foil and antagonist. That they’re two sides of the same coin. The dark-haired Evil Queen contrasting with the light-tressed Savior. And while Regina may have served that purpose early on, now that we’re reaching the end and can view the overall landscape of the series, it’s become clear that RUMPLE actually has been Emma’s most consistent adversary.

Regina and Emma haven’t actively opposed each other since season two. However, Rumple has worked against Emma, to differing degrees, every season and has only become increasingly menacing. From setting in motion the original Dark Curse, attempting to steal Emma’s magic, recruiting the Queens of Darkness, releasing his Darkness & trying to rewrite the storybook, willingly becoming Super!Dark!Rumple, & now teaming up with the Ultimate!Evil! in the Final Battle: Rumple creates havoc wherever he goes. And that havoc is most frequently aimed in Emma’s direction. It’s also no mistake that he’s connected to most of our former villains: Cora Mills, Regina Mills, Zelena, Queens of Darkness, The Black Fairy, The Snow Queen, Isaac Heller, etc. This man’s an Antagonist with a capital A.

But what about a foil? Now a foil and an antagonist don’t necessarily have to be the same person, but in Rumple we got a 2-for-1 deal. One of the main functions of a foil is to form a contrast with the protagonist through opposing traits. And what’s a better contrast than that of The Savior & The Dark One? The yin and the yang.

In OUAT, not only do Rumple’s inherent personality traits (cowardice, for example) highlight Emma’s (bravery), their stories also parallel. Both were born as saviors, abandoned as children, grew up relatively unloved, became separated from their kids, assumed the Dark One mantle, and constructed mile-high walls to prevent anyone from getting too close.

These parallels were purposely constructed to contrast Emma and Rumple. Because despite perceived commonalities, the way Emma and Rumple handled & reacted to the above events differed completely. And it’s that REACTION that’s most important. Emma took on the Darkness as a sacrificial gesture. In S5, Rumple did it to acquire power. It’s this differing response in similar situations~their divergent actions~ that provide contrast and separate them as characters.

Further, the intermingling of Rumple and Emma’s families was also done deliberately. It’s no coincidence that Rumple is Henry’s grandfather. Or that Killian, as Emma’s True Love, was Rumple’s ex-wife’s partner.  Emma and Rumple’s fates and lives were always going to be intertwined. They’re inextricably linked. That’s how this dynamic works. Similar backgrounds rife with betrayal and abandonment, fates and lives that are drawn together, until something, finally has to give.

And that finally is the Final Battle. It’s of no surprise that the ending is focused on Rumple’s family. It was always going to be this way. No other arc could sufficiently conclude this chapter. It had to be an epic showdown with Emma facing Rumple or a member of his immediate family. And as is the case in all such narrative formats, when the Final Battle arrives, Rumple will need to die in order for Emma (good) to live. Now this death will not necessarily be in service to evil. In fact, Rumple may ultimately truly redeem himself by sacrificing his life akin to 3A. But, he will die. He has to. There’s really no other way for a story of this design to end.

And why will Emma win? Because Rumple’s downfall, his fatal flaw, if you will, is his love of power. And Emma’s strength is the love and support that surrounds her. Rumple has stated multiple times: “True Love is the most powerful magic of all,” but he consistently fails to submit to it. He pushes away everyone who loves him, relegating himself to a solitary existence.  Rumple could’ve followed Young Baelfire to the Land Without Magic, but he chose POWER.  He could’ve forever relinquished the Darkness in S5 and started a Happy Beginning with Belle. But again he chose POWER.

It’s Rumple’s selfish motives and constant pursuit of power that have driven love away. And it’s those traits–those essential contrasts from Emma–that are the key to why Emma (why good) will always win and Rumple (and/or his biological family) will inevitably lose. Rumple’s thirst for power and cowardice is his undoing, while Emma’s acceptance of love and hope strengthen her.   Because Emma forever chooses LOVE she has people to support her. She has love in her life. A song in her heart. And that’s why, Emma will win. Because despite the fact that The Black Fairy & Rumple contain the strongest Dark Magic ever formed, LOVE will forever be the most powerful magic. And Emma’s got that in SPADES.

24 Invaluable Skills To Learn For Free Online This Year

Here’s an easy resolution: This stuff is all free as long as you have access to a computer, and the skills you learn will be invaluable in your career, and/or life in general.

1. Become awesome at Excel.

Chandoo is one of many gracious Excel experts who wants to share their knowledge with the world. Excel excellence is one of those skills that will improve your chances of getting a good job instantly, and it will continue to prove invaluable over the course of your career. What are you waiting for?

2. Learn how to code.

Perhaps no other skill you can learn for free online has as much potential to lead to a lucrative career. Want to build a site for your startup? Want to build the next big app? Want to get hired at a place like BuzzFeed? You should learn to code. There are a lot of places that offer free or cheap online coding tutorials, but I recommend Code Academy for their breadth and innovative program. If you want to try a more traditional route, Harvard offers its excellent Introduction to Computer Science course online for free.

3. Make a dynamic website.

You could use a pre-existing template or blogging service, or you could learn Ruby on Rails and probably change your life forever. Here’s an extremely helpful long list of free Ruby learning tools that includes everything from Rails for Zombies to Learn Ruby The Hard Way. Go! Ruby! Some basic programming experience, like one of the courses above, might be helpful (but not necessarily required if you’re patient with yourself).

4. Learn to make a mobile game.

If you’re not interested in coding anything other than fun game apps, you could trythis course from the University of Reading. It promises to teach you how to build a game in Java, even if you don’t have programming experience! If you want to make a truly great game, you might want to read/listen up on Game Theory first.

5. Start reading faster.

Spreeder is a free online program that will improve your reading skill and comprehension no matter how old you are. With enough practice, you could learn to double, triple, or even quadruple the speed at which you read passages currently, which is basically like adding years to your life.

6. Learn a language!

With Duolingo, you can learn Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, or English (from any of the above or more). There’s a mobile app and a website, and the extensive courses are completely free.

Full disclosure: BuzzFeed and other websites are in a partnership with DuoLingo, but they did not pay or ask for this placement.

7. Pickle your own vegetables.

Tired of your farmer’s market haul going bad before you use it all? Or do you just love tangy pickled veggies? You too can pickle like a pro thanks to SkillShare and Travis Grillo.

8. Improve your public speaking skills.

You can take the University of Washington’s Intro to Public Speaking for free online. Once you learn a few tricks of the trade, you’ll be able to go into situations like being asked to present at a company meeting or giving a presentation in class without nearly as much fear and loathing.

9. Get a basic handle of statistics.

UC Berkeley put a stats intro class on iTunes. Once you know how to understand the numbers yourself, you’ll never read a biased “news” article the same way again — 100% of authors of this post agree!

10. Understand basic psychology.

Knowing the basics of psych will bring context to your understanding of yourself, the dynamics of your family and friendships, what’s really going on with your coworkers, and the woes and wonders of society in general. Yale University has its Intro to Psychology lectures online for free.

11. Make your own music.

Step one: Learn how to play guitar: Justin Guitar is a fine and free place to start learning chords and the basic skills you’ll need to be able to play guitar — from there, it’s up to you, but once you know the basics, just looking up tabs for your favorite songs and learning them on your own is how many young guitar players get their start (plus it’s an excellent party trick).

Step two: A delightful free voice lesson from Berklee College Of Music.

Step three: Have you always thought you had an inner TSwift? Berklee College of Music offers an Introduction to Songwriting course completely for free online. The course is six weeks long, and by the end of the lesson you’ll have at least one completed song.

Step four: Lifehacker’s basics of music production will help you put it all together once you have the skills down! You’ll be recording your own music, ready to share with your valentine or the entire world, in no time!

12. Learn to negotiate.

Let Stanford’s Stan Christensen explain how to negotiate in business and your personal life, managing relationships for your personal gain and not letting yourself be steamrolled. There are a lot of football metaphors and it’s great.

13. Stop hating math.

If you struggled with math throughout school and now have trouble applying it in real-world situations when it crops up, try Saylor.org’s Real World Math course. It will reteach you basic math skills as they apply IRL. Very helpful!

14. Start drawing!

All kids draw — so why do we become so afraid of it as adults? Everyone should feel comfortable with a sketchbook and pencil, and sketching is a wonderful way to express your creativity. DrawSpace is a great place to start. (I also highly recommend the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain if you can drop a few dollars for a used copy.)

15. Make your own animated GIF.

BuzzFeed’s own Katie Notopoulos has a great, simple guide to making an animated GIF without Photoshop. This is all you need to be the king or queen of Tumblr or your favorite email chains.

16. Appreciate jazz.

Have you never really “gotten” jazz? If you want to be able to participate in conversations at fancy parties and/or just add some context to your appreciation of all music, try this free online course from UT Austin.

17. Write well.

Macalester College’s lecture series is excellent. If you’re more interested in journalism, try Wikiversity’s course selection.

18. Get better at using Photoshop.

Another invaluable skill that will get you places in your career, learning Photoshop can be as fun as watching the hilarious videos on You Suck At Photoshop or as serious as this extensive Udemy training course (focused on photo retouching).

19. Take decent pictures.

Lifehacker’s basics of photography might be a good place to start. Learn how your camera works, the basic of composition, and editing images in post-production. If you finish that and you’re not sure what to do next, here’s a short course on displaying and sharing your digital photographs.

20. Learn to knit.

Instructables has a great course by a woman who is herself an online-taught knitter. You’ll be making baby hats and cute scarves before this winter’s over!

21. Get started with investing in stocks.

If you are lucky enough to have a regular income, you should start learning about savings and investment now. Investopedia has a ton of online resources, including this free stocks basics course. Invest away!

22. Clean your house in a short amount of time.

Unf$#k Your Habitat has a great emergency cleaning guide for when your mother-in-law springs a surprise visit on you. While you’re over there, the entire blog is good for getting organized and clean in the long term, not just in “emergencies.” You’ll be happier for it.

23. Start practicing yoga.

Most cities have free community classes (try just searching Google or inquiring at your local yoga studio), or if you’re more comfortable trying yoga at home, YogaGlohas a great 15-day trial and Yome is a compendium of 100% free yoga videos. If you’re already familiar with basic yoga positions but you need an easy way to practice at home, I recommend YogaTailor’s free trial as well.

24. Tie your shoelaces more efficiently.

It’s simple and just imagine the minutes of your life you’ll save!

Everyone has a reaper. The further away it is, the longer you have left to live. Every day it inches a little bit closer, but it is always there. Except yours, which disappeared three weeks ago

I pulled over to the side of the highway, legs aching from sitting so long. I was in the middle of nowhere, and I’d driven hours to get here.

I steeled myself and turned off the car.

Everyone’s born with one. A reaper. People say nobody’s reaper looks the same, like everyone’s personal terrifying snowflake of death. No one knows for certain, though, because you can only see your own reaper.

Very little is actually known about them. It’s hard to study something you can never touch.

The car door slammed shut more loudly than I’d intended. Now that the engine was off, the only other sounds were the wind softly trickling through the brown grass and the soles of my sneakers on the pavement.

For miles around me, there was only grassland, flat, empty. I turned, round and round, searching.

And saw nothing.

When you’re born, your reaper is far away. From that moment, it starts to move closer. Sometimes it’s slow, not even an inch over years. Sometimes you look up, and it’s standing face to face with you.

The things you do can affect how quickly it moves. My grandfather confessed that his reaper started moving faster the day he first smoked a cigarette. Drunks report getting behind the wheel of their cars only to see their reaper sitting beside them.

They say you never touch your reaper until the day you die.

My reaper disappeared about three weeks ago.

I’m not sure exactly when it happened. It isn’t close enough to always be in the same room with me, and it isn’t like I’m constantly checking to see how close it is.

But I usually do catch glimpses of it in the hallways of my office, lingering near the doorway while I wait in line at the coffee shop, watching as I get in my car in the morning. And one day, I just…didn’t.

It was gone.

It. When did I start calling it “It?” Not it, him. He. My reaper’s not an it. He.

Was it my parents or a teacher who first told me to stop calling him a him? Don’t personify it. Don’t give death that kind of power in your life. Your reaper is not a person. Your reaper does not have a gender. Your reaper does not have a name.

When did I start listening to them? When did I lose his name?

I spent the first few days in denial. I just wasn’t looking in the right places, I told myself. Just because I didn’t see it (him) didn’t mean it was gone.

But I didn’t see it (him him him) anywhere. Not in the grocery store parking lot, not in the stairs of my apartment building, not in the long dusty stacks of the library.

So I turned to the internet.

Reaper Disappeared

My reaper is gone

I can’t see my reaper

What does it mean if I can’t find my reaper

I found all sorts of articles and forums on reapers. People freaking out because their reaper was moving faster, people trying to figure out why their reaper was farther away, people arguing over what it meant if their reaper’s appearance changed.

No one claimed their reaper had suddenly just disappeared.

Reapers aren’t people.

My mother was firm.

Reapers don’t have names.

She told me over and over until I learned to stop talking about it.

Until I started to doubt what I had heard.

Reapers never talk.

But that didn’t mean I forgot.

There wasn’t anyone I could talk to. How would I even start? What did this even mean if he was gone?

Had I discovered the cure for death? Was I going to live forever?

Or was I simply going to have to walk through life not knowing when death would come for me?

One way or another, I had to be certain he was gone.

I got into my car and started driving.

I couldn’t see anything but brown grass and broken concrete.

Maybe if I could just see a little bit farther, I thought as I scrambled on top of my car. I perched on top of it uncertainly, scanning the horizon for any sign.

I started to scream.

Where are you and Why are you doing this and Please, I can’t take this and I don’t understand, please.

Please.

I don’t want to live forever.

I don’t want to watch everyone die.

I don’t want to be alone.

Please, don’t let me be alone.

I whimpered the last ones into my knees, curled up on the ground beside my car, then whispered the name I heard him say so many years ago.

“Isa, please.”

After a few minutes I calmed myself, swallowing deep breaths of air. I unfolded my body and went to stand up.

Isa was standing over me.

“Sorry about that,” he said as I recoiled, falling back against the car.

“You’re talking,” I stated dumbly.

“Well, yes. That shouldn’t come as a total surprise. We have spoken before.”

“You said one word to me when I was a kid,” I replied indignantly, fear turning to anger, “And my mom sent me to a child psychologist because I kept insisting you talked. And where have you been? Reapers aren’t just supposed to disappear!”

He shrugged. “There was something I had to take care of, sorry.” He smiled a bit ruefully. That was something else reapers weren’t supposed to do, and it must have shown in my face.

He crouched down beside me, ignoring how I flinched backwards.

“Look, there are some things we need to discuss.” He held out his hand, “Let’s go somewhere we can talk.”

I stared at his hand. “Look, I know I don’t want to live forever and all, but…that doesn’t mean I want to die right now or anything.”

“You’re not going to die,” Isa said, mouth twitching upwards, “Not for a good while, not if I can help it. Most of what you think you know about us is wrong, okay?”

“So you’re saying I shouldn’t be afraid of you?” I hedged.

He shook his head. “No, that’s not what I meant at all. But you can trust me.”

“That’s…not very comforting,” I muttered. He waited, patiently, hand outstretched.

“Ah, what the hell,” I said, and I took Isa’s hand.

i would absolutely read a novel that started this way

Save TIMELESS!

Hiya friends:

a new option has arose for us to save our beloved show and we all need to do it. Go to this website and vote KEEP! It needs all the votes it can get. They need to see how many people have voted.

If you’re on twitter, RT, like, quote Michael Ausiello’s (TVLine) tweet. Make it spread like wildfire – use #Timeless as your hashtag. It may not count as views right now, but people will see it, it’ll spread, and that’s important, too

May the force be with us.

Post Timeless 1x13 Thoughts

I also love how they are setting up Wyatt and Flynn to be foils of one another.

Sure, up until now, on the surface they seem like polar opposites. Wyatt the straight-laced soldier fighting for his country, Flynn the renegade villain determined to get his revenge.

But their stories are actually pretty similar, which is classic foil set up. Both are reeling over the murder of their family. Both desperate to fix it. Both make less than stellar decisions as they try to achieve their ends. Both have a certain chemistry with Lucy.

But after this week, I think we will see the true foil separation emerge.

Wyatt truly got to see the dark side of getting what you want by any means necessary, which is what Flynn has long since decided he is ok with doing. The ends justify his means. But Wyatt killed an innocent person (albeit indirectly) to achieve his desired mission this week. To save the person he loved. And we saw his utter remorse at this when he and Rufus got back in the Lifeboat. He was wrecked and guilty, and he knows that this isn’t what Jessica would want from him. We’ve yet to see this kind of remorse from Flynn, even when pushed by people somewhat in his counsel.

Wyatt then returned to learn that his recklessness was all for naught. Jessica is still dead. And as where I think Flynn would have continued to go after what he wanted, I don’t think Wyatt will. The ends won’t justify his means. I don’t think he’ll be able to reconcile killing innocent people with saving Jessica. I think while in similar circumstances, he and Flynn’s choices will begin to differ more and more and more.

They both have the potential for a great villain backstory and set up. But if I’ve learned anything from my time as a Oncer, it’s that it’s not our pasts but our choices that define us, that separate heroes from villains.

And I think even after the awfulness of the trip back to 1983, Wyatt’s still one of the heroes of this tale.

CS AU.  What it means to be a Savior - Chapter Sixteen.

Au Sci fi. The worlds are in turmoil with a small band of rebels fighting to restore the balance. What they need is a miracle, what they get is a Savior.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away… This fic has been plaguing my mind for a long time. It’s kind of a cross with OUAT - Star Wars - and Star Trek. It has taken over a large part of my life and I hope you enjoy it. Let me know, please, reviews, kudos, and comments keep me motivated and encouraged. Will be posted on FFN and AO3. Rated M.

This story was heavily influenced by the Star Wars trilogy - I grew up in a male-dominant environment so there wasn’t a lot of ‘girlie’ movies shown in our house - and Princess Leia was my first role model. I dedicate this work of fiction to Carrie Fisher, and the inspiration and courage she gave me, to believe I could be whatever I wanted to be.

@ultraluckycatnd, I’m sure this wouldn’t have turned out as well as it has without your assistance and I constantly thank my lucky stars that the connection was made by our mutual friend.

Tagging a couple of people who’ve left comments, and some who I’m just tagging ;) @ilovemesomekillianjones @emmaswanchoosesyou @tvfanaticx5  @inquisitorscullen@deathbycaptainswan  @timelesslovestory  @shady-swan-jones  @galadriel26  @swanisms @bleebug @cat-sophia @villains-happy-ending @lenfazreads If anyone else wants a tag, just let me know. If I forgot someone, please forgive me.

Also, thanks to those who have liked and reblogged this. Getting it out to people has been my stumbling block so I appreciate every one who reblogs or recommends this story to others.

Chapter 16 - Walls Down, All In

David was hidden beneath a control panel, trying to rewire the fried system. Most of the Bridge systems were back online, and Killian had spent the day testing new weapons with the special shields Emma had helped him install.

“You want to talk about it?”

“Nothing to say.” Killian said curtly.

“You’re in an established relationship, lasting a hell of a lot longer than I thought it would. So what’s got you biting the heads off everyone in sight?” David checked the lights on the console. One was still out. He’d missed something.

“I’m still getting a busy light.” Killian said. “Recheck circuits 3A to 13B. Something must have shorted again.” David nodded and went back under the console.

There was loud grunting, some inventive obscenities, and a thundering crack as David hit his head against the casing. Killian reacted as David did, rubbing the back of his own head as a sharp pain exploded.

“Bloody hell, mate,” Killian swore.

“Did you feel that?” David asked, poking his head back out.

“Aye, I did.”

David grinned as he returned to his work. It seemed their brothers bond was growing. The ability to feel what the other did was nothing new in Areenian brothers, something Killian remembered well growing up with Liam. But until now, this phenomenon hadn’t shown itself with David and Killian. Regina had reasoned this to the fact they weren’t blood brothers, but had told them to expect it, as they were blood cousins.

Killian hit the top of the panel with his fist in retribution, the same time David kicked the control panel from within. Suddenly, Killian had power to his station restored. David climbed out from under it, slowly rising to his feet, the wide smile still on his face.

Killian looked around to make sure no one was eavesdropping. “It’s Emma. She knows the next gem’s location.”

Wasn’t that her purpose? David was confused. “Okay, so what’s wrong?”

“She figured it out in two days, not two weeks this time.”

David just shook his head. Then suddenly it hit him. “And once she finds the next one, it will be a quick translation…”

“To the last one, and finally the Dark One. And then…”

Killian couldn’t say it. He just looked away, his jaw clenching. David felt his emotions, and suddenly understood everything. And then Emma would die, and Killian would be alone again.

David slapped his brother on his back. “Come on.”

“Where are we going?”

“To get drunk."

Everything Is Awful and I’m Not Okay: questions to ask before giving up

Are you hydrated?  If not, have a glass of water.

Have you eaten in the past three hours?  If not, get some food — something with protein, not just simple carbs.  Perhaps some nuts or hummus?

Have you showered in the past day?  If not, take a shower right now.

If daytime: are you dressed?  If not, put on clean clothes that aren’t pajamas.  Give yourself permission to wear something special, whether it’s a funny t-shirt or a pretty dress.

If nighttime: are you sleepy and fatigued but resisting going to sleep?  Put on pajamas, make yourself cozy in bed with a teddy bear and the sound of falling rain, and close your eyes for fifteen minutes — no electronic screens allowed.  If you’re still awake after that, you can get up again; no pressure.

Have you stretched your legs in the past day?  If not, do so right now.  If you don’t have the spoons for a run or trip to the gym, just walk around the block, then keep walking as long as you please.  If the weather’s crap, drive to a big box store (e.g. Target) and go on a brisk walk through the aisles you normally skip.

Have you said something nice to someone in the past day?  Do so, whether online or in person.  Make it genuine; wait until you see something really wonderful about someone, and tell them about it.

Have you moved your body to music in the past day?  If not, do so — jog for the length of an EDM song at your favorite BPM, or just dance around the room for the length of an upbeat song.

Have you cuddled a living being in the past two days?  If not, do so.  Don’t be afraid to ask for hugs from friends or friends’ pets.  Most of them will enjoy the cuddles too; you’re not imposing on them.

Do you feel ineffective?  Pause right now and get something small completed, whether it’s responding to an e-mail, loading up the dishwasher, or packing your gym bag for your next trip.  Good job!

Do you feel unattractive?  Take a goddamn selfie.  Your friends will remind you how great you look, and you’ll fight society’s restrictions on what beauty can look like.

Do you feel paralyzed by indecision?  Give yourself ten minutes to sit back and figure out a game plan for the day.  If a particular decision or problem is still being a roadblock, simply set it aside for now, and pick something else that seems doable.  Right now, the important part is to break through that stasis, even if it means doing something trivial.

Have you seen a therapist in the past few days?  If not, hang on until your next therapy visit and talk through things then.

Have you been over-exerting yourself lately — physically, emotionally, socially, or intellectually?  That can take a toll that lingers for days. Give yourself a break in that area, whether it’s physical rest, taking time alone, or relaxing with some silly entertainment.

Have you changed any of your medications in the past couple of weeks, including skipped doses or a change in generic prescription brand?  That may be screwing with your head.  Give things a few days, then talk to your doctor if it doesn’t settle down.

Have you waited a week?  Sometimes our perception of life is skewed, and we can’t even tell that we’re not thinking clearly, and there’s no obvious external cause.  It happens.  Keep yourself going for a full week, whatever it takes, and see if you still feel the same way then.

You’ve made it this far, and you will make it through.  You are stronger than you think.

As all of you who watch this show know it’s on the bubble for renewed or cancelled and we all know renewal depends entirely on the good will of networks. We can’t just sit back and wait for NBC to renew it when the fans don’t do anything to help. Yes, I know we all talk about it, I know we tweet about it on Monday nights, but we can do better.

So in face of this new letter Eric Kripke posted, I decided to make this post and gather help. Last episode had  HUGE drop from episode 10 and this is due to so many people thinking the season ended with the Winter finale. It wasn’t a normal drop from one episode to another, it was significant. I adore this show, it’s my favorite show right now and I’d be heartbroken to see it go.

1) Let’s try to make it trend next Monday. There’s a LOT of tweets during episodes, so why we never trend? Last Monday there was over 20k tweets, we can do better. Add #Timeless and #RenewTimeless to ALL your tweets. Try to post as often as you can during the episode and after. Tweet @NBCTimeless, @NBC and @Sony to let them know how you feel.

2) Tell your friends! Tell your family! Tell everyone you know to watch it. Make your own promotion. We all know the rating system SUCKS and only people with the Nielsen box counts, so lets make this show reach them! Even if you’re from outside the USA you still have friends from there, be it on twitter, facebook or here on tumblr. Get people to watch! We are the best marketing any show can have.

3) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD let people know season 1 ISN’T OVER. I have seen so many questions of when season 2 would start that I knew this episode would have a drop in ratings. Even people who watched the episode thought it was season 2! So let’s do what we can to let them know.

4) If you follow me and don’t watch the show, please give it a chance. It’s educational, it’s fun, it’s silly, it has so much diversity and so much respect for this diversity that it’d be a shame to see such a show off the air. YOU WILL NEVER SEE SO MUCH DIVERSITY DONE RIGHT IN ONE SHOW AGAIN. It’s something that you can watch with your family, that you can watch with your significant other, it’s a show you can watch with your kids, or jut watch alone and freak out over ships, over complex bad guys, over badass women that save Delta Force soldiers, over black guys defying historic racism, over intelligent girls that are treated as intelligent, about people driven by love for the ones they lost, it’s a show that in the end of the day is all about family.

5) PLEASE PLEASE WATCH TIMELESS!! If you can watch it live, please do it! If you can’t, DVR it, don’t leave it up to on demand, record it and watch it as many times as you can. These next 5 weeks are CRITICAL for the future of the show and we need to do something before it’s too late!

I don’t watch this show but lots of people I like do and I don’t want it taken away from them.

If you are a fan of the show Timeless, please watch the show live on Monday nights and share your love of it with other people! It’s a great show with a great cast and I don’t want to see it get cancelled, so please signal boost this and watch Timeless!

YO.

As many of your who follow me know, I am a huge fan of this show. It’s fun, well-written, twisty and rather woke. It’s the kind of show people are constantly trying to get other shows to be like, i.e. a fantastic multi-racial cast, well-paced, tropey in the best ways, LGBTQ representative, and surprising.

They view history through many lenses each week, and don’t shy away from highlighting how awful it often was. The cast has fantastic chemistry and the writing is hella strong, and even with the somewhat serial nature of the set-up, each week feels fresh and fun. They do a wonderful job keeping the character focus, which I was worried about given it’s such a high-concept show. But the characters drive the plot versus the other way around, and gah it’s just so good. Watch the thing.

Please tune in. Catch up. We’re only 11 eps in. You can do it. We can do it. Don’t make this another great show gone before its time (looking at you Agent Carter, Pushing Daisies, etc.)

This show deserves more time.
