Do you like Marina and the Diamonds? Her early work really captures the essence of mentally fraught young womanhood, but she truly came into her own voice with Electra Heart. Some dislike its more pop-oriented direction, but I think the album is fantastic.

to be honest most people have the kind of twisted voyeuristic glee logan paul does towards suicide & you learn that when you have a v messy public attempt and 2/3rds of the people you talk to about it, if you ever trust them to that degree, visually can’t stop themselves from leaning towards you, eyes flashing. obviously he’s a monumental tosser and someone more intelligent than me could talk about the adventurism of him doing it in japan, the lack of ability to see the mentally ill and in all likelihood probably also japanese people as fully human, but lurid voyeurism about suicide is baked into popular culture which is why there are a hundred 13 reasons why for every my mad fat diary

even though this is pretty obvious already, i wanna say im kinda done with this blog. i dont think it’s doing me any favors. im still gonna keep it up and running, but pretty much just for keeping in contact with people & keeping up with my favorite blogs. content-wise though, im out

You can change what you want about yourself at any time. You see yourself as someone who can’t write or play an instrument, who gives in to temptation or makes bad decisions, but that’s really not you. It’s not ingrained. It’s not your personality. Your personality is something else, something deeper than just preferences, and these details on the surface, you can change anytime you like. If it is useful to do so, you must abandon your identity and start again. Sometimes, it’s the only way.
