In 1984, my widowed mom of 9 got remarried. Our stepdad, new to parenting and unsure of all of us, kept a few of his things locked up when he moved in, including a Betamovie camera that we kids had our eyes on. When they took off on their honeymoon we found his key and went a bit nuts. We bought a tape, called over friends and spent the whole weekend making music videos, films and random bits. My brother Bob filmed the first clip, our older brother Brian making up a dance to the radio. Those were the days.
