A really good friend of mine decided to make fun of people who called their rifles "sticks" by calling them "rods." For example, "Nice rod, bro." Then he came out to me, and I haven't told him he has a nice rod since then.

If I ever bought a helicopter I'd change the registration to N-ROFL.

Here’s how it is, kids. If you offer to purchase a handgun from me, and then I find out you’re lying about being over 21, DO NOT expect me to sell it to you. I am a responsible firearm owner, and you sir are asking me to break the law. I will not, nor will I ever sell a firearm to anybody I see unfit to own one, and that is my right- but moreso my responsibility.

Kids these days

If you’re still in Kentucky, the minimum age to purchase a handgun from a private party in that state is 18, so um, yeah.

Just bought a Springfield XD...

Nah, I'm kidding, I'd never do that.

DI vs Short Stroke

IS OF NO GOOD SHITS WHERE IT EATS

pls stop

Look. Piston driven actions are for weapon systems originally designed for them. The AR platform was designed around A DI gas system. Now I’m not saying improvements on original designs are wrong, but changing the entire heart of the weapon to something completely different is stupid. All the Short stroke piston does is make your rifle slightly more reliable, makes your rifle heavier, decreases accuracy (The exact opposite of the AR platforms purpose. It was intended to be accurate as fuck) and causes carrier tilt. It can also encourage poor maintenance practices because “It work kinda lik da AK do.” which I have heard as an argument in favor of this system. If the AR’s receiver were made of steel, I’d be all about short stroke but since it’s not and carrier tilt is a bitch in an Aluminum receiver, I’d rather have a dirty gun that works than a clean gun that’s broken.

It does not make the rifle more reliable.

Decorating idea: Put Mosin-Nagant inside glass box. Hang on wall. Label the box "Break In Case Of Wehrmacht."
