In 1994, Gilbert Baker created a mile-long rainbow flag for the 25th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

It’s the cops who need to learn how to behave around citizens and how to de-escalate the conflict peacefully. They have always thought that the only way to solve the situation is to tase a person or to beat him to death, or to shoot him. They are trained to do this, but never trained how to negotiate and help people in a peaceful way. Kids shouldn’t be taught how to interact with police, because no matter how polite you can be, you can always end up dead if the police officer fears for his life.
anyways us girls are all pretty in our own ways and what men say about your looks never matters

To his senses
I just learned yesterday that Pikachu, my favorite Pokemon, was originally designed not by Ken Sugimori (he only finalized the design), but by a female graphic designer named Atsuko Nishida.
Also after googling her, I found out that she’s also designed Sylveon–another favorite PKMN of mine. She’s also illustrated some very pretty Pokemon cards!!
Thank you Ms. Nishida! :-) May you get more credit and love for your contribution to the Pokemon franchise.

[The Raw Story headline: “A new website will ship your ashes to the GOP Rep. of your choice is Trumpcare kills you”]
This reminds me of that picture I saw of someone at an AIDS protest in the 80s that had a jacket that said, “When I die leave me on the capitol steps” or something like that
Also yes fuck those bastards make them have to face the human sacrifice they’re signing to line their fucking pockets.
This is American artist and activist David Wojnarowicz. ACT UP scattered the ashes of at least 18 of their members on the white house lawn in a series of actions starting in 1992, with the chant “Bringing our dead to your door / We won’t take it anymore”. This was done to protest the government’s "refusal to pass the AIDS Cure Act, inaction on drug profiteering, and unwillingness to establish a federal needle exchange program),”
