Gabriel sighed, “I wish I had taken you too, but a life of hiding is no way for an angel to be raised. You become disillusioned, bitter. Can you ever forgive me, little bright one?”

“Wait…you did want to leave me?” He replied, hurt. Confused. His hands trembled as he heard those stinging words. Everything that followed was secondary. Why didn’t he take him with him? Why did Gabriel not like him?

He shrugged off the arm, angry and loving away. Angry at Gabriel.

“I didn’t want to leave you Bal,” the emotion caused his voice to tremble, “I wanted to take you and Cas with me, but you were both so young. Michael would have hunted us down and killed us.” Tears welled in his eyes, “I did it to save you.”

“It’s Lucky Charms. They always have the best prizes!”

“Lucky Charms is the best cereal because they have candy in the cereal too, but how about you keep the prize, Kiddo. I have that one from my last box.” 

“Okay!” Sam grinned at Gabriel, playing with the little toy car as he picked the marshmallows out of his cereal bowl. He arranged all of the marshmallows in piles by shape, humming as he worked. “How long will Dean be gone for?”

Gabriel pouted, grabbing a single rainbow marshmallow from the pile, “Sammy, you’ve only been with me for all of ten minutes and you already miss big brother?” He grinned at the boy, “I’m kidding, of course. Dean said he’d be back in less than a week, so I’m thinking four or five days.”

Sam watched Gabriel pluck one of his rainbows, squinting at the older man. Had it really only been ten minutes? It was true. Dean had gotten his suddenly much younger brother a bowl of Lucky Charms and called up his heavenly babysitter before hurrying off to try and find a cure. He really had only been gone for ten minutes tops.

“Okay,” the little boy said, already over his initial fear of Dean disappearing forever. Gabriel was here and Gabriel was nice and let him only eat the marshmallows out of the Lucky Charms if that was all he wanted to eat, so he could stay for as long as he wanted. “You can have the heart marshmallows. I don’t want those ones.”

Gabriel gasped softly, “You don’t want the hearts, kiddo? Those are the most important marshmallows. They give you the ability to love.” He ran his hand through the boy’s shaggy hair, smiling at him, “But I’ll definitely eat them,” he picked up a few of the hearts and popped them into his mouth, “Mmmm, love me some sugar.” 

He moved to sit at the table with the young boy, “How about after this, we watch some cartoons, your pick.” 

“Ew,” the kid squealed, batting Gabriel’s hand out of his hair. “That’s why I don’t like them. Love is gross!” He munched a few of the green hat marshmallows instead, humming as they slowly melted in his mouth. “Cartoons are good!” he agreed, shoving as many marshmallows in his mouth as he could fit. “M’done!” he huffed, muffled by sugar. “What’s your favorite cartoon?”

Gabriel threw his head back and laughed as the boy shoved the marshmallows into his mouth, “My favorite cartoon? Hmmm...” He squinted his eyes and thought for a moment, “I really like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” He smiled, “But I’ll really watch anything, I love cartoons.” 

“Bal, you know I did want to leave you.” He reached out a hand and rested it on his brother’s arm. “Mikey and Lucy both wanted me to fight for them, I couldn’t chose, so it was easier to run.” He sighed sadly, “I should have said goodbye to you.”

So... I wrote a letter to the Staff.

Dear Tumblr Staff, I can no longer locate the ‘contact’ or ‘support’ option on my blog in order to send such a message directly and though it is rather unorthodox to send a message via fanmail, it is all I can think to do right now. I have been on tumblr for a good 6 or 7 years now with various accounts and it has been my support and happy distraction for all of that time and I am very grateful for the effort that you and the team put into maintaining the site. However, this latest update that removes the ability to cut posts is pushing the temptation to shut down my accounts. There is a large community of roleplayers on the site, though it is likely miniscule compared to some of the other groups that use tumblr, I am in no doubt there are close to a million of us. Being unable to cut a post down to a reasonable size is cluttering our dashboards and I have noticed several of my fellow roleplayers are apologising for being unable to cut down their posts as they slowly lose followers who have not yet noticed the update. The writing community may be just one corner of tumblr and though the site can boast many artists with thousands, if not millions of different interests and angles, writing is just as important and is part of the creative side of tumblr. I would think it a terrible shame to shut down my accounts simply because I could not cut down the novels worth of writings I co-write with another tumblr user. If I may make a suggestion, perhaps there can be an option to allow rebloggers to cut a post and an option to disallow them. That way, those that wish for their original posts to remain as their own and unedited have that option, and those of us who use tumblr to write may still keep our posts short and sweet. I hope there is a way through which we can find some sort of compromise. Yours Faithfully, An Old Tumblr Fan.

I have no right to ask this but could we get it circulating so it has a better chance of being noticed? I know there are a few that do not mind the update so much but my dash is turning into such a mess with this multiple replies that take a long time to scroll though and I know I can’t be the only one.
