John Frusciante unofficial website on Tumblr

@jfrusciantesite / jfrusciantesite.tumblr.com

Invisible-Movement.net has been following the career of musician John Frusciante, since late 2004. This Tumblr was created to spread the love for his work even further. Here, things can be a bit less serious compared to the site.

Adult content?!

Holy crap. I understand that some of the BSSM era nude images were flagged, but some shirtless photos of John playing were flagged as well. This makes no sense.

How much do you still need for the hosting ?

Not sure when this was asked, but since this is a thing again, I will C/P what I said to another person:The site has hosting for 2.5 more months, but the hosting company - Servage - has become so bad that it takes AGES to even upload and scale an image, load a page etc. I downloaded the entire website last week and their FTP was so bad that it took me two days on my very, very good broadband connection.So, the site needs to be moved to a very reliable hosting company, Dreamhost. Then the updates will be instant, galleries will be fixed, video formats changed as .flv is a Flash one and won’t be supported from the end of this year. Nothing was lost, only the post thumbnails - but those will just be a huge annoyance to get back and salvage from archives, no biggie. I have everything that happened in the meantime backdated, written on a local server and ready to add to the content management system. I was not doing it because, as I have said above, writing a single article and adding images to it would take sometimes even more than an hour instead of the usual 10-20 minutes.I’m looking to gather what used to be funny to me before the depression + recovery + existential dread days, about 70€ that we need for the switch. If anybody’s interested in helping out, the PayPal link which I merged with my work stuff is http://paypal.me/ahyolu . Basically, if three our four people jumped in, that would be it.

Hi Iva. What's the situation with the IM website? Will it be online again, or it's gone for good?

Good to hear from you. One would have to be nuts to let 16 years of work go, especially now with things heating up. But yeah, people quit, it’s just that I don’t.It’s not gone, it just needs to be moved to Dreamhost and updated regularly. I have everything that happened in the meantime backdated, written on a local server and ready to upload, it’s just that Servage got so, so, so bad that it takes AGES to even upload and scale an image, load a page etc. I downloaded the entire website last week and their FTP was so bad that it took me two days on my very, very good broadband connection.I’m looking to gather what used to be funny to me before, about 70€ that we need for the switch. It's John's birthday, folks. :) He's forty-nine, just one year away from the big one. What would you wish to him? 🎂4️⃣9️⃣🎵 (And yeah, we're slow, long story, slowly coming back on track - don't ask)

We will lose our hosting if we don’t get help!

URGENT: we will lose our hosting if we don’t get the cca. €150 we need to renew it - back in March we managed to renew only the mirror, not the main. Please, send donations to iva@invisible-movement.net on PayPal.

This is still an issue.
