You could only make and reblog like 150 posts within a certain period of time to control traffic or whatever, and when you hit that limit you would be unable to post or reblog anything for sometimes several hours.

There was an ENTIRE external site called postlimit dot com that everyone had bookmarked because you’d search up your url there and it gave you a countdown to when the effects of your banishment would be lifted.

A lot of people would hit Post Limit at similar times so we used to go to like Skype or whatever and chat (because tumblr did not have an on-site messaging system beyond fan mail at the time) while we all waited for tumblr to free us from the little shame lockers they shoved us in.

Postlimit is still a thing they just upped it to 250 instead

No matter what kpop group you follow, you have to admit that Shinee’s Jonghyun was a great idol and that he brought a lot of happiness to a lot of people. Thank you for everything that you did Jonghyun. Rest in peace.

Jonghyun was bright, sensitive, idealistic, compassionate, giving, caring, and ethereal. He supported, welcomed, and loved people of all backgrounds and put forth lots of LGBT support, despite the backlash he got for it. He put his beliefs and his love for humanity above all else. He always did his best on stage for us despite what he was going through behind the curtains.

Whatever pain Jonghyun was going through, he is freed from it. He was far too young and had far too many things to do for the world, for SHINee, for himself.

This is a reality check for us all—just because an idol is smiling onstage and in interviews doesn’t mean they’re happy, and just because they’re famous and successful doesn’t mean that they’re happy. Idols deal with a lot of pressure, hate, and pain and it gets to them just like it would someone else. Who knows how many times before he’s thought about doing this? Please just remember that idols are just as human as we are, idols can be mentally ill, too.
