The stranger is Haru’s age, with bright red-brown eyes and high cheekbones. When he removes his hat in polite greeting, the hair beneath it flashes like fire in the sunlight.
“The name’s Rin Matsuoka,” the man grins from the saddle of his strawberry roan mare. “How would you like to join the Pony Express?”

Kisumi and Sousuke turned towards him with furrowed eyebrows and confused eyes. It was Sousuke who answered his questioning stare, “Do you like the guy or not? Make up your mind, Rin.” “What?! I don’t like Nanase’s presumptuous ass, I was just pointing out a fact.” Objectively, Rin could admit—to himself, very silently—that it was a nice looking ass, but a presumptuous one nonetheless. Or the Hidaka AU no one asked for, in which Rin never got into competitive swimming and he swears to God if Nanase looks up at him with stupidly blue eyes and infuriating little smirk again, he might just strangle the asshole.
It was so fun writing this and I have to thank my partner for giving me the most beautiful inspiration for it, I hope you enjoy!
