Peter is tense when their lips meet, but as with every time Wade kisses him, he finds himself inevitably melting into his touch. His eyes close and a hand lifts to stroke through his hair as he presses into the kiss, a small part of him protesting when Wade pulls away. "I love you too," Peter murmurs, once Wade had finished his piece. "Thank you. I just--I think I needed to hear that. We're definitely okay. You make things okay, actually. You keep me stable, honestly." Peter leans back in his chair and runs his hands through his hair with a soft sigh, mulling over their conversation quietly. He hadn't meant to put marriage on the table so quickly. Rather, it just sort of slipped out. He knows Wade hadn't missed it, though, and it's not as if he wants to take it back. As far as he knows Wade didn't react to it. They'd have to talk about it, at least at some point. It was a big decision and a conversation they'd have to have. But for now, Peter is just happy to relax. "I love you so much," he murmurs, looking up at him with a special brand of adoration reserved only for Wade. "And we're gonna be okay."
