  • despite the confident exterior, it would make him a little insecure.
  • so many thoughts would go through his head, quite dramatic ones.
  • it sends him into deep thought where he’s just sitting there and watching vacantly for a while.
  • finally, he snaps out of it, tossing back a shot before slamming the glass down and swiftly walking over to you and the man flirting with you.
  • he slides in behind your body, staring at the man and wrapping his arms around you, pulling you close to him.
  • “hey man, i’m auston,” he’d speak with a nod, his tone and face completely flat and dull, aiming to intimidate.
  • you purse your lips together, eyebrows perked up as you rub calmly along his forearm that’s pressed to your waist.
  • “this your boyfriend?” the stranger across from you ignores auston eye contact but points to him as he looks at you.
  • before you can even open your mouth your partner is responding.
  • “yeah i am,” auston confirms, tone getting a little harsher. 
  • the dude that was previously flirting with you takes slow steps back, giving an awful excuse to leave, making auston mutter under his breath.
  • “that’s what i thought,” he mumbles. 
  • you chuckle, turning in his arms making his hands rest on your back.
  • you’d rest your hands on his chest, crawling your fingers across his collar as he looks down at you.
  • “i need another drink,” his eyes fall into a more calm and gentle look, just because he’s looking at you.
  • you can’t help but smile into a laugh, resting your forehead against him for a second, nodding in agreement before linking hands to walk to the bar.
