It was the light shade of amber lead that stained her skin, she could recognise those anywhere. The golden shimmer in her eyes, intensified by those endless tears. There was no mistake: no Trafalgar would mistake their own.
Please, tell me it’s you, sister. Don’t make me mourn you anymore.

@mediicusvitae ♥ „Sorry about that, they always want to copy my notes…“ Lambert waved after the flock of giddy university students, giving his sister an embarrassed little half-shrug in retort to her expression. He had turned down their offer to accompany them to the library, preferring to spend time with his family alone. „Yeah, yeah, they should take their own notes and I shouldn’t enable them, I know.“

LAWKO quietly passed the pages of her book as the students’ voices faded away. ❝ Seems like they want to catch a glance of more than just your notes. She mumbled when the whispers could no longer be heard.

She surely couldn’t blame them for wanting to approach her brother. Lambert had that type of personality that drew people in, a thing that had made her wary of strangers and suspicious people around her sibling. Luckily, it seemed like she and those people were the only ones noticing it.

No. Please, enable them  She said as she waved her hand lightly at him.   They’re not going to be successful at their main objective, I would feel bad to strip this away from them as well. ❞

@mediicusvitae ♥ A bright grin stretched across Lambert’s lips as muscled arms sneaked around his sister‘s middle, engulfing her in a warm hug. „So much for being your 'little' brother, Onee-sama,“ he laughed, resting his scruffy chin atop her head.

WITH A QUICK MOVEMENT OF HER HAND, Lawko swapped her place with a nearby book. She appeared on the table and she glanced at her brother with an annoyed look in her eyes. Damn, surely the Trafalgar genetics had a favourite out of the two of them, what an annoyance.

Your muscles are a choking hazard. Lawko wrinkled her nose and, as she got off the desk, her steps reduced the distance between them.  Don’t get so cocky on me just cause you got some extra height on me, you’re still the younger of us.

❧ Her small shrill of a demand came with no response as he continued to read over the newspaper that had just been delivered that morning. New reports regarding an accident involving a Marine vessel and a tanker. Something about Water7 being the focal point of this distribution. He hadn’t heard any news regarding this incident from Sengoku, curiously he turned the page to see if any other reports of Marine accidents were made.
The smoke from his cigarette hung lazily in the air as he took a calm breath. Inhaling the relaxing drug as tired eyes continued to read on. It wasn’t till that small voice full of anger come to him again that he finally turned just his eyes towards the spiteful child.
No, he was not worried about her hurting him. If anything, a stab like that meant nothing to him save for the sharp sting he could feel behind the blade. The pain and force pressing into it. That… that was a different feeling. One none of the children before had displayed. Genuine pain that seared like a never healing brand poked by hot iron.
The reason he didn’t rat her out was for her safety. He knew his brother. Better than anyone else and the possession he held over him. The way he would observe and stalk him like some kind of prey. Feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand when he got too close. Uncomfortably so. By keeping his mouth shut about what she had done saved her from possibly the most horrendous and agonizing death his brother could have mustered from the depths of his evil core.
Child or not mattered little to how Doflamingo saw others. Everything worked like a cog around him. If one showed even the slightest sign of wear, they would be replaced with as little emotion as treating metal. They were all tools to him, including himself. Including this child. One that reminded him too much of the deranged hatred Doflamingo would spit out as a child.
Teal hues narrowed at the little girl. Challenging her to continue even speaking about this subject before he’d throw her with as little mercy as the first time he did. All the things he could and would do to her were nothing compared to what his brother was planning. Pointer finger and thumb rubbed against one another before reaching to pull away his cigarette. A cloud of smoke exiting his body with a heavy sigh.
Flicking the burnt drug at the girl, he pulled out his notepad and marker and jotted down his answer.
        / Beat it, kid. /

LAWKO gritted her teeth. Loudly, angrily.  She had dealt with anger long enough to learn to not let it control her actions, but there was no helping as she laid at the man she would be forced to obey the next years of her life. As she clenched her fists, the child continued to stare at the executive with resentful eyes.

Quietly, she observed the man scribble on his notepad and, as she brushed away the joint on her shirt, Lawko could feel her blood boil once again. She held back her desire to rip the notebook off his hands and throw it at his face, but in her the flames of hatred had been fueled over her mind’s usual limits. It had barely been a few hours, how did she come to hate that man with such rage and fury?

The day she had decided to find the Donquixote Pirates had marked the beginning of her last three years and a half of life. Two months it had taken her to find them and one more to prepare her grand introduction. And yet, the effort was completely overshadowed by that klutz who was sitting in front of her. The same one who had flung her off to scraps and trash like a broken toy.

If Doflamingo had been right about that Devil Fruit that could save her life, would that mean she’d have to continue dealing with a person such as Corazón for the rest of her lifeShe had signed up to destroying the world that had taken everything away from her, to ruin those who did the same to all those she loved in Flevance. Lawko had been ready to deal with anything to reach that goal, but she had never expected for that “anything” to be a man like him

Y-You beat it!  Lawko finally exploded in anger. She wrinkled her nose and her knuckles, nearly white from the force, rose to the sky.  I should’ve gunned you down, or exploded your guts... You’re nothing more than an eyesore in my plansStupid blood law... !!  ❞

Her heavy panting echoed in the open space. Lawko lowered her gaze at the ground for an instant, and quickly glared at the man once again. Raising her index finger at the man, Lawko smirked. Her eyes glimmered with rage and her steps forward showed her determination.

You’re going to regret everything you’ve done, Corazón. Doflamingo has told me of the Fruit that can save me. Whether it’s true or not, I’ll make sure you regret everything you’ve done to me. If I survive, I’ll make your life a living hell, and if I don’t I’ll drag you down with me.

♥ — A rowdy teen for @afailedkingsheart

SMALL STEPS ACROSS SPIDER MILES. That was as much as her child legs would allow her to travel, but Lawko had made up her mind to not let that slow her down any longer. Explanations would not come to her unless she managed to catch up to the silent blond man.

Ever since her arrival at Spider Miles, she had been sure the stakes had never been in her favour but the tables had turned in an unexpected way. She had just stabbed a man, a high ranking officer. There had been witnesses, and the victim was still alive. And yet, somehow, she had come out of the situation unscathed.

Lawko hated it, she didn't want it to be indebted to someone she could barely stand, someone who offended her in their first encounter. And so, her eyes were set on the prize once again. But this time it wasn't a dagger she would bring to the field, it was a demand. A demand for an explanation.

She finally managed to catch up to the man and, under her panting breath, she mustered up the courage to speak.

CORAZÓN !! What the hell was that about ?! She called out to him and raised her look at his. She briefly stepped back, but decided not to let a man like him intimidate her.  Urk… I thought you would refuse to allow me in the crew after what I've done. Are you that stupid or are you just not worried I'm going to try to kill you again ?

The pirate captain arched a brow at the woman’s words. He couldn’t recall having met her before, but he also felt that sense of familiarity with her. Maybe he had seen her face with a reward number below it or maybe he could have just happened to come across her during his journey but he was more so leaning toward the former.
“Ya know, I got this same feeling about ya. But to answer your question, I’m just on this island to restock and am not looking to cause any trouble so as long as ya aren’t a threat to me, or to the people around here then nope, ya shouldn’t consider me a threat.” He chuckled with a slightly cheeky grin.

WITH A LIGHT SIGH, Lawko didn’t take long to realise that the gesture in his face was surely one she sought to avoid in other pirates. Those smiles, usually seemingly peaceful, carried a threat of chaos behind them. She hoped in her mind it was just her overthinking, but she couldn’t help but keep her guard up.

❝ Who knows ? Maybe my face is just awfully common and so is yours. Lawko arched an eyebrow and tilted her head.  ❝ Then I hope we reach an agreement, whatever your name is. If you cause trouble while you’re around me I’ll make sure you never cause trouble ever again. Deal ? ❞

— 003. Growth

AS A CONCEPT, sometimes Lawko misunderstands growth. She sees her body grow and evolve in the mirror, but her mind feels stuck in points of her story she doesn’t know how to describe. She can comprehend her the idea of a mature point of view, but sometimes she can’t help but let childish thoughts slither out of her mind.

Her attitude threads very carefully in between the need to keep that childishness repressed, and those same thoughts slipping out from time to time.

@mediicusvitae ♥ "Onee-sama!" The little girl cried, holding her bruised knee while thick droplets of tears ran down her flushed cheeks.

LAWKO let a long sigh escape her lips as she turned around in her seat. She approached her sister and, without saying a word, picked her up from the floor. She carried her onto her work table and search for the first-aid kit.

❝ You need to be careful, Lamy. Lawko said in an almost whispering voice. Her hands started slowly cleaning up her knee and she moved her head to shake away the hair on her face. We’re not... home anymore, so I don’t have enough stuff to keep healing your wounds like this... I can’t afford to lose the only family I have left.
