Bomamba and NiGHTS ♥

Happy holidays! I’m such a slow artist but I got another Ask me done! This is one was interesting because its sorting tapping into NiGHTS’ pre-rebellion days. 

I would imagine Bomamba was NiGHTS and Reala’s strict teacher and parent/guardian and give hell constantly to both of them, especially NiGHTS. But he would just laze around and pet her cats and sort of tap into NiGHTS love for small creatures like the Nightopians post-Rebellion. (And yes, NiGHTS made a cat pun. >///< he has no shame)

Definitions of Abuses Used To Control

Verbal abuse is:

A repetitive pattern of words and body language that includes hurtful jokes, abusive anger, accusing and blaming, denial, withholding, judging and criticizing, name calling, and undermining. There are several other verbal abuse techniques to effectively control the victim and his or her behavior, thoughts and feelings.

Emotional abuse is:

a repetitive pattern of words and actions that include verbal abuses plus gaslighting, which is a technique used to confuse the victim’s emotions, resulting in the abuser’s control over the victim’s feelings.

Mental abuse is:

A repetitive pattern of words and actions that include verbal abuse, emotional abuse and brainwashing, which is a technique used to gain control over a victim’s thoughts.

Spiritual Abuse is:

A repetitive pattern of words and actions made up of verbal, emotional and mental abuse that undermine the victim’s spiritual beliefs, which results in the abuser gaining control over a victim through “the word of God” or diminishing of the victim’s belief in a higher power, both types serve to gain control of the victim’s belief system.

Financial abuse is:

A repetitive pattern of words and actions that diminishes or extinguishes the victim’s power over their financial situation, which allows the abuser to gain control over the victim through fear of becoming homeless (or worse) should he or she go against the abuser’s wishes.

Physical abuse is:

A repetitive pattern of actions that physically hurt or restrain the victim so the abuser can gain control over the victim’s precise state of being. I would argue that there does not need to be a “repetitive pattern” of physical assault to define it as abuse. However, abusers are crafty and can use play as an excuse to hurt their victim. In that case, a few repetitions of playful injury is enough to define it as abuse.

Sexual abuse is:

A repetitive pattern of words and actions relating to sex and gender that harm the victim physically, emotionally or mentally. Examples of sexual abuse range from general insults about the victim’s gender to rape.

A few cats scurried away as NiGHTS fell among them, but some of the older ones soon rolled nearer, recognizing their old friend. They invited themselves to lay among NiGHTS’s feet and legs, nuzzling up to his side. Leo’s tail flicked when touched, and Bomamba quietly scolded the cat as she brushed the dust out of his especially fluffy fur. He didn’t seem to be listening, however.

The Nightmaren giggled, glad they had recognized him. The nuzzles were heart-warming for him, grin growing. He petted them all as they came, returning the nuzzles with some cuddles of his own. NiGHTS was also quite happy to see the cats once more, without them biting at him. He was absolutely happy to see all of them, and was glad they seemed to have missed him too.

“…Clawz dear,  think we should stay away from the Master’s chambers for a while, if we can,” she said, at last. A few nervous, muffled mewls could be heard through her dress from kittens picking up on their mistress’s unease. “We should leave.” Bomamba never did well with authority; she much preferred flying under the radar as an unimportant second level and being left alone to do her magic. Consequently, she did not know what happened in those chambers, and she had no further desire to find out. Nightmare was not in any immediate danger, and that was all that mattered to her.

“…Very well.” Clawz mumbled, still disliking the mystery behind the event. Just what had happened? It bothered him in not knowing what sort of explosive it was. 

With a shake of his head, he decided he would indulge his curiosities later. He kept himself down, tail flicking for her to get on his back. They were leaving, and that was that.
