Now I'm imagining a situation like in Terry Pratchett's Night Watch where Luke admits to Mace Windu, "I came here from another time."
And Mace looks at Luke's completely unrefined lightsaber style, his profoundly philosophical insights about the Force, his disdain for authority, and his lack of knowledge of Jedi doctrine, and asks, "From how far back?"
FFXIV twitter is basically the Tumblr Dragon Age fandom circa 2015. "You like that storyline I don't like? Wow, you must be racist."
Every job in every role should have something it excels at better than the other jobs. Right now the game is struggling with that identity and it's something I hope they can work on in Dawntrail.
There were a lot of times during this expac that many people were left feeling "Oh they took my job's thing and gave it to this job instead." That's not something that should happen ideally, imho.
The fact that so many DRK mains were upset about DRK being the least damaging tank in the final patch because "being the high dps tank is our thing," shows what a sorry state job identity - especially for healers and tanks - is currently in.
I know it's not something easy to fix, but hopefully Dawntrail shows some change for the better.
Right now, many jobs - especially healers and tanks - are struggling to find their identity. That's something that needs to change before it becomes a real problem.
So I play FFXIV, and have for quite a while. I'm thinking of maybe reviving this blog by writing "what-ifs" for fights that I find less than stellar, and job changes I would like, or new jobs Ive created. For example, re-writing the Endsinger extreme fight to be more epic, since the normal version is one of the best fights they've done, and then ironically the extreme version is one of the worst.
I'd rather revive this blog than make a new one but i'm not sure...

So i haven’t been on here in a while, so I realize this is a complete shot in the dark. But I need help. Earlier this month I was scammed in a bad way. My bank went into the negative and now I’m late on rent. I’m asking for help, and if you’re able to give it I’ll be eternally grateful. https://gofund.me/f9a13557 Also kind of doxing myself here, but couldn’t figure out any other way to do it on the gofundme website. so oh well.
So i got a message from my landlord tonight demanding payment asap. I know I haven’t been active here in a while, but if anyone can help I really truly, appreciate it.
