Lonely Hearts Club // Park Jimin

-

the prompt: no one thought the obvious hufflepuff jimin would be sorted into slytherin. because of this, many people turned their back on him out of fear. you, a ravenclaw, aren’t afraid of him. in fact, you’re only annoyed by him. but what if the slytherin is only annoying because he doesn’t know how to portray his true feelings?

words: 5315

category: hogwart!au

author note: I’ve been writing this one on and off ever since namjoon sorted the members at that fansign and i finally finished it!! pls enjoy!

-

You stood on your tiptoes and stretched your fingers to try and reach a book on the top shelf of the Hogwarts library.

Fortunately, a hand reached up for you and easily grabbed the book.

“Thank—" you stopped, finally seeing who the person was.

Park Jimin. The mysterious slytherin boy that no one could quite figure out. He was in your year, and you could remember everyone on the train saying that he was pure Hufflepuff. Some even speculated Gryffindor, but none dared to bring up the snake house. He was too nice for that, too gentle.

Every account of him had spoken of a sweet, kind, little boy who just wanted to make others happy.

Then he was put into Slytherin. People assumed he must’ve been lying in his first impressions. He must’ve hid something from them. The little eleven year old lost all the friends he made on the train because of that sorting. Because of children who were afraid.

There was still house prejudice, of course. Even after the second wizarding war, people still believed that Slytherins were the bad group.

So Park Jimin became jaded, and you obeyed your Ravenclaw friends as they told you not to associate yourself with the boy who lied.

It was in good reason now, for you were both sixteen, and Jimin was absolutely obnoxious towards you.

Ever since you let him borrow a quill in Charms, he’s done nothing but bug you and bother you with a stupid smirk on his face.

You were positive there wasn’t a nice bone in his body.

Jimin read the cover of the book, “Hmm, Love Potions For The Desperate Witch? Love potions are illegal, you know.”

“I know that,” you snapped, jumping to try and reach the book that Jimin only held up higher and higher. “It’s for a research paper in potions.”

Jimin held the book above you still, a teasing glint in his eye as he saw how much shorter you were than him. “I have that paper too. I think I’ll check this book out first.”

“Hey!” You followed him as he walked confidently towards the librarian’s desk. “I saw that book first.”

Jimin turned on his heel and lowered his height to yours, puffing his cheeks out mockingly, “Why, Y/n, what a childish thing to say. I saw this book and picked it up fair and square, did I not?”

You glowered at him and tried to reach behind him to grab the book he hid behind his back.

He stood up and tutted, shaking his head. “Honestly, for a Ravenclaw, I thought you would’ve had better manners.”

“Manners have nothing to do with my house,” you said, still trying to grab the book.

Jimin held you back by your shoulder and laughed, “I can see that. Anyway, I’ll be checking out this book if you’re done annoying me.”

“Me? Annoying you?” You stood there with your mouth hanging open as Jimin cut you a smirk before walking towards the librarian desk.

Before he left, he turn around, “See you, Smarty Pants.”

-

Jimin didn’t returned the book to the library before your deadline, and since every other sixth year had the same assignment, you struggled to find a book to use for your source.

Eventually, you had to make do with what little information you received in your textbook, along with your limited memory.

You received a P for Poor, and were given two weeks of weekend detention helping Professor Longbottom in the greenhouse.

You wanted payback towards Jimin, whose fault you believed it was for your failing.

You walked into the Great Hall and found the two boys you knew would help you.

Jeon Jungkook was extraordinarily witty and loved learning. Only, he loved learning about things like experiments or muggle music. He was more or less average in his actual schooling. He was good at pranks, especially when he teamed up with Taehyung, a Hufflepuff.

Taehyung was more interested in learning about animals than humans, but his overall friendly persona gained him a lot of friends from every house. Taehyung never cared which house was which, he simply wanted to be friends with everyone. Most people knew, however, that he had a mischievous streak a mile wide and came up with the most wonderful pranks.

They would be the pair to go to.

“Hello, Y/n!” Taehyung greeted as you sat across from him.

“Hello, Tae, Kookie.” You smiled at the both of them. “I need your help.”

Jungkook rose an eyebrow after you finished explaining the story. “You want us to help you prank Park Jimin? Isn’t he that evil kid who tricked everyone when he was only eleven years old?”

Taehyung frowned, looking over at the empty Slytherin table. “I thought he was really nice when I spoke to him on the train. I tried to keep talking to him after the sorting but he just ignored me.”

Jungkook leaned closer, “There are so many rumors about him. Lots of people say he is going to be the Dark Lord of our generation.”

“That’s ridiculous,” you said. “He’s a bit obnoxious but he isn’t evil. C'mon guys, I’ll take all the credit, I just need an idea.”

“Well, there is this new potion we’ve been working on.” Taehyung said, hesitantly glancing over at Jungkook. “It will turn your hair orange.”

“In honor of the true prank kings,” Jungkook explained.

“Does it work?” You asked, already liking the idea of turning the slytherin boy’s hair orange.

“Indefinitely,” Jungkook said sadly. “We don’t know when or if it wears off.”

You thought about it for a moment.

Then with a mischievous smile, you held your hand out, “I’ll take it.”

-

You poured the potion in Jimin’s drink before he arrived in the Great Hall. Then you waited patiently for him to come and take a sip.

When he did, nothing happened.

Your frown worsened throughout breakfast as you watched him. His hair was still black as night.

As you continued staring, Jungkook elbowed you in the rib. “Yah, Y/n. The potion takes time so stop burning holes into the back of his head, will you?”

You complied and turned back to your untouched breakfast. Munching on a piece of toast, you watched the boy eat alone. He never once talked to anyone. Not even his fellow Slytherins would eat with him.

What was so bad about him? Was it really the sorting? Was it so bad that a boy expected to be in Hufflepuff turned out to be a Slytherin?

Slytherins are ambitious and cunning, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad. Maybe he’s ambitious in stamp-collecting. Or maybe he’s just cunning; especially with the way he teases you. Maybe he’s cunning in getting out of detention.

You still couldn’t find anything inherently evil about the boy.

However, he was still annoying: a trait given to each of the houses unfortunately.

Eventually, it was time for class. Jimin’s hair hadn’t changed, and you were worried that Jungkook and Taehyung had somehow gotten their potion wrong.

“Just be patient,” Taehyung said before the two of you parted ways for your desperate schedules.

“Easy for you to say, Hufflepuff,” you snapped.

You hurried to your first class, Charms. In your haste, you ran into someone.

You looked up, “I’m so sor– Jimin?”

He looked the same as before, only his hair was now a pretty orange.

You were sad to see it didn’t look embarrassing at all. Actually, it made him look really handsome. He looked less intimidating with the lighter shade, somehow.

“Hey, Y/n,” Jimin said, giving you a smile.

Was he not bothered by it? Should you bring it up and see?

You pointed to his hair, “What happened?”

“Oh.” Jimin ran his fingers through his hair, pushing his bangs back. “I just dyed it in the bathroom. Looks good, doesn’t it?”

“Wh–” you opened your mouth, but nothing seemed to come out.

Jimin was lying. He was telling you an outright fib to cover himself.

Why?

Did he not want you to know he had been pranked? Did he not want anyone to know? Has this happened before? How much has he hidden from everyone?

Climbing out of the mental hole you had dug for yourself, you addressed Jimin the same way you always would. “You know I got detention because you stole my book.”

A frown took over Jimin’s features before it was replaced with a small smirk. “You did?”

“Yes!” You hissed. “Thanks to you!”

Jimin gave you a mock bow, “You’re welcome.”

-

Friday night, after dinner, Jimin snuck away as usual.

Since he had no friends, the boy had to find other things that made him happy. Quidditch was his first choice, but after being rejected from the team for six years straight, he decided to find something else.

Professor Longbottom had noticed the boy his first Herbology lesson. The boy reminded him of himself at that age: alone and insecure.

He made Jimin stay after class that day.

Of course the young Slytherin thought he was in trouble, and began apologizing before Neville could announce his true intentions.

“Follow me,” was all he had to say for Jimin to calm down. They walked down the length of the greenhouses until they reached the butterfly house.

That’s what Neville called it, anyway. It reality, it was the only greenhouse with non-magical plants in it. It was an oversized garden filled with flowers that could be found in muggle textbooks. Butterflies often snuck into the greenhouse, along with magical creatures like pixies and doxies.

Neville handed Jimin a spray bottle. “You know what doxy eggs look like?”

“No, Sir.”

“I’ll show you,” Neville took Jimin around the garden, turning over different leaves and showing him the strange spotted eggs that stuck to the leaves. “Doxies are like the pixie’s evil twin. They have a poisonous venom in their teeth, and if they bite you, you’ll become slowly paralyzed until you can get an antidote. However, their eggs can be used in common potions, so I come here to collect them. First, we must spray this on them to loosen them off of the leaf. Then you just scrape them off. Gently though, we don’t want to break them.”

Jimin watched his Herbology teacher spray the eggs and then gently scrape them into a glass bowl. “I am getting busier these days, and it becomes harder for me to check all of the leaves daily. I need a special person to take over this job. Would you want to take it?”

Eleven-year-old Jimin felt pride in his heart. The professor had picked him out of everyone in the school to do such an important job. “I’ll do a good job. I promise.”

“You know,” Neville said as he watched Jimin overturn leaves and spray the eggs. “Everyone thought I would be in Hufflepuff too. The sorting hat took forever to decide.”

“What house did you end up being in?” Jimin asked.

“Gryffindor,” Neville answered. “There I met my best friends and became the person I wanted to be.”

Jimin sprayed under a sunflower petal, “At least you weren’t in Slytherin. People think I’m going to hex them or something.”

“It’ll get better, Jimin.”

“Thanks, Professor.” He didn’t quite believe it.

-

Jimin arrived in the greenhouse ten minutes before his usual time, just to chat with his favorite professor.

Neville looked surprised to see Jimin, “What happened to your hair?”

Jimin reached up and twirled a strand of his orange locks. “Someone pranked me.”

“That wasn’t very nice of them,” Neville said. He was busy pouring soil into pots. “Grab some earmuffs.”

Jimin grabbed a purple pair off of the hook on the wall, “Mandrake season already?”

“Yep. They’ve got to be transferred. I’ve got to finish it before detention.”

“I’ll help,” Jimin said. He pulled the mugs over his ears and waited for his professor to do the same.

Together they lifted the baby mandrakes and transferred them into bigger pots, covering them with soil so they wouldn’t be cold.

The job was done in ten minutes, since the two of them were used to the process. Jimin pulled off his earmuffs and smiled at all the babies sleeping soundly in their pots.

“Now we wait for them to become teenagers,” he said.

Professor Longbottom rolled his eyes. “I hate that stage. Anyway, thanks for the help, Jimin. You might have some help today as well.”

“Oh, for detention?” Jimin asked.

“Yeah. Also, a few doxies have been creeping around the eggs, and you might need help hexing them.”

Jimin nodded and left the professor to his task.

The butterfly greenhouse had been Jimin’s favorite place since Professor Longbottom introduced it to him. It had become a place of solace and comfort for a boy who felt out of place nearly everywhere else.

He had not failed to miss a day since his first year. It was an hour of his day that he could spend alone without people whispering about him. Without hearing the rumors that spread throughout the walls.

It wasn’t even the other three houses that bothered him. His own fellow Slytherins came up to him all of the time, asking if he really wanted to be the next dark lord.

They would ask him to help hex the first years, or prank the professors. They would ask him for tips on hexes. They would ask how to sneak into the restricted section in the library, then they wouldn’t believe him when he said he’d never been.

No one asked him if he wanted to go to Hogsmeade with them, no one asked if he had the answers to Potions homework, and no one asked him to share his food. Any casual friendliness was gone when it came to Park Jimin.

One Slytherin, Min Yoongi, had been kind to him. He often yelled at those who asked Jimin obnoxious questions. He invited Jimin to hang out with him and even tried to persuade the Slytherin captain to let Jimin on the team.

Of course, Yoongi graduated Hogwarts two years ago and went back to the muggle world to pursue a career in music. He still sent Jimin owls every now and then, letting him know that he was working on a mixtape.

Still, Jimin was left alone.

Here with the flowers and the butterflies, Jimin didn’t feel alone. He felt freedom and happiness. A calm serenity washing over him and helping to aid him through the next day.

He began his routine, turning over each leaf one by one and scraping the eggs into a glass bowl provided for him.

Any time a doxy came in to threaten him away from it’s eggs, he would stupify it and toss the little guy out the window.

He didn’t have the heart kill it, so it would always come back for him, angry that he took it’s eggs.

“Jimin?”

Jimin jumped at the sound of your voice. His breathing quickened and he panicked, wondering what you were doing here. How you had found him.

Honestly, Jimin had mixed feelings when you were around him. Ever since you let him borrow your quill in Charms, he felt attracted to you.

Only, Jimin didn’t know how to treat you or show you that he liked you.

He was trying so hard to open up to you, but it often only came out in teasing and playful jests. He was positive he had only succeeded in annoying you.

He wanted to get to know you better in a way that didn’t involve getting on your last nerve.

Now his heartbeat was erratic as he made eye contact with you. What would you think of him now? A loner who spent his spare time working in greenhouses?

“Do you have detention too?” You asked, looking around at the many flowers and butterflies around.

Jimin looked ethereal in the middle of it all, as if he himself was a flower or a garden fairy.

You wouldn’t tell him this, of course.

“No,” he said softly. “I come here every day to help Professor Longbottom.”

“Really?” You looked at him, impressed. “That’s nice of you.”

Jimin looked taken back. Him? Nice? He hadn’t heard those words together since his first year on the train.

“I-I guess.” He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. “So if you could help me collect the doxy eggs, you’ll be out here in no time.”

He handed you a small bowl and demonstrated how to scrape the eggs into the bowl without breaking them. Once you got the hang of it, you moved to one side of the greenhouse while he worked on the other.

“This is strenuous,” you huffed, turning over your umpteenth leaf. You stole a glance at Jimin, who was doing his job with a content smile on his face. You watched him momentarily, picking up on the way his eyebrows furrowed and his lips pursed when he was concentrated.

For a moment, you thought of Jimin in a light you had never thought about before. You thought of him as attractive and somewhat caring. He had to be caring to be willing to do all of this for butterflies and potions ingredients. You also found out that he was horribly patient, much more so than you.

He didn’t seem annoyed at the length of time it took to overturn each individual leaf and look for eggs. It was admirable.

“So, you do this every day?” You struck up a conversation with him.

In the moment, he seemed much calmer than the Jimin you knew. He seemed bearable, and easier to talk to. He seemed less obnoxious.

Jimin looked up from his work, his eyes wide and a beautiful shade of brown against the dark green leaves. “Yes. Since my first year.”

“Why didn’t you tell anyone?” You wondered aloud. “The rumors probably would stop if they saw this side of you.”

Jimin’s cheeks turned pink and he ducked his head behind the leaves. “I don’t want anyone to see this side of me. I like being alone here.”

“Don’t you want friends?” You questioned.

“I don’t know,” Jimin shrugged. “It’s been a long time since I’ve had friends.”

“I know someone who wants to be your friend,” you said. “I’ll bring you to him after detention, okay?”

“Okay,” Jimin whispered shyly.

-

Kim Taehyung could always be found in the Great Hall, chatting to someone about who knows what. There wasn’t a person in Hogwarts safe from the boy’s wild conversations.

You knew he had wanted to be Jimin’s friend in first year. You were positive he still wanted to be.

He and Jungkook were sitting at the end of the Ravenclaw table, leafing through their parchment in search for readable notes.

Jimin was reluctant to go to them, seeing as he was afraid of meeting new people. He wouldn’t tell you that, but you had an inkling.

To get him to move, you grabbed his hand in your own and pulled him towards the Ravenclaw table.

“Hey guys!” You greeted the pair and sat down with Jimin. They mumbled back greetings without looking up. “I brought a friend.”

Taehyung looked up instantly at the word “friend”. Upon seeing the boy by your side, he broke out into a boxy smile. “Jimin!”

Jimin smiled shyly, not knowing what to do.

Jungkook looked up as well, a smirk on his face. “Hey, do you have any good notes from today’s potions?”

“Um…” Jimin dug through his bag and extracted some parchment covered front to back in neat and detailed notes. “Here you go.”

“Wow!” Taehyung accepted the papers. “Thanks! Do you want to sit with us? We’ve been needing a Slytherin in our group since Yoongi graduated.”

“Yoongi?” Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. “He was my friend.”

“I know,” Taehyung said. He rolled his eyes, “We’re the group of friends he kept inviting you to. Which you so rudely declined, by the way.”

“Sorry,” Jimin spoke quietly. “I’m not used to people wanting to hang out with me.”

“Well get used to it,” Taehyung said. “You’re officially stuck with us.”

You stood up, only then realizing that you hadn’t let go of Jimin’s hand. You cleared your throat and let go, averting your eyes to the floor. “I’ll be going then. Homework to do, you know. Goodbye.”

-

You didn’t expect your plan to work. Really, you didn’t expect Jimin to mesh so well with the boys. You expected him to be unwilling to open up to the boys. Instead, he fit right in.

Now he barely ever teased you. Heck, he barely even looked at you anymore. He was too busy with his new gang, who had become his best friends within two days.

You weren’t mad, since you wanted more than anything for Jimin to be comfortable with his new friends. However, you didn’t know it would effect you so much.

You seemed to forget life without Jimin in the picture, so now that he was gone again, you felt a hollow spot in your heart. It seemed you relied on Jimin and his teasing a lot more than you thought.

Now you missed him. Your dilemma lied with the fact that you had been rude and opposing to Jimin all this time, so it would be selfish of you to assume he wanted to come back into your life. Especially when he was so much happier with the boys.

You just wished he could be happy with you as well.

-

You glared at the Herbology book as it mocked you from the top shelf. Even on your tiptoes, you couldn’t reach it, no matter how much you strained.

Déjà vu hit your senses as a familiar arm reached for the book above you. You turned around, “I hope you aren’t planning to steal this book too.”

Jimin only smiled and handed you the book without a fight.

“What?” You looked at him, confusion painted all over your face. “You’re just going to give it up like that?”

“Yeah,” Jimin mumbled before looking away. “Look, Y/n, I never thanked you properly for helping me make friends. I realized that you were my friend first, and I want to thank you for that.”

“Oh…” you said. “No problem.”

He bit his lip to keep a bigger smile from forming on his face. “So, would it be weird to ask you to Hogsmeade?”

“Me?” You asked, a startled look on your face.

Jimin answered quickly, “As friends! To thank you! Not as a date or anything!”

“Oh.” You weren’t sure why you were so disappointed by his clarification. “Okay. Then I’ll go with you.”

“Great.” Jimin gave you one of his infamous eye smiles that you had grown to love, and exited the library.

-

“I can’t believe you chickened out,” Taehyung snickered as he and Jimin sat down in the courtyard.

Jungkook was there as well, playing Exploding Snap by himself.

Jimin watched his younger friend for a moment, feeling rotten. “I tried, but when I asked her out she seemed put off. So I told her it was just a friend date to thank her.”

At that moment, Jungkook’s cards exploded, and sparks flew up, making the three brush the potential fire starters off of their robes.

“Now she thinks you don’t like her,” Taehyung explained.

“I do,” Jimin insisted, loosening his emerald tie in frustration. “But I’ve gone and made it awkward.”

“Not if you turn it around!” Taehyung said. His hands moved rapidly as he talked, causing Jimin to almost go cross-eyed trying to keep up. “You could surprise her by asking her to be your girlfriend! She’ll never see it coming.”

“How do I do that?” Jimin questioned. “Do I get her a gift?”

Taehyung, lover of animals, snapped his fingers, “You should get her a pet.”

Jungkook butted in, “You know who should get a pet? Us. We’ll call him the Interhouse Venus Flytrap and he can go to a different house each week.”

“Why would he be called the Interhouse Venus Flytrap?” Taehyung looked curious.

Jungkook gave him a sort of “duh” look, “Because he’ll be a Venus flytrap and he’ll belong to us, an interhouse group.”

“Guys!” Jimin interrupted the two. “I really need help.”

Taehyung rolled his eyes. “She doesn’t need a big gift, just buy her a butterbeer and then ask her.”

“Just like that?” Jimin looked at his friend, stressed.

“Just like that,” Taehyung assured him.

-

“Your hair is back to black,” you said as a way of greeting Jimin.

He was waiting under the clock tower for you, his face nearly hidden behind a silver and emerald scarf.

You were wearing your own set of winter wear, only they were a royal blue color.

Jimin used his mittened hand to wave at you. “Hello, Y/n.”

Once the two of you began walking with the other students towards Hogsmeade, Jimin addressed your unusual greeting. “You know, Taehyung might’ve let it slip that you were the one who pranked me.”

A blush grew on your face as you looked away. “Sorry about that. To be fair, you did start it by stealing my book.”

Jimin chuckled. “At least you didn’t dye it pink or something.”

“I think you’d look good with pink hair,” you said. “It would bring out your skin tone.”

“Really?” Jimin looked at you comprehensively.

“Yeah,” you said quietly, but with assurance. “You’d probably look good with any hair color.”

Now it was Jimin’s turn to blush. He grabbed your hand and pulled you after him as he sped up. “Let’s catch up with the others. We’re falling behind.”

You laughed as he dragged you along, nearly causing you to trip. “Jimin! Slow down!”

He obeyed with a breathy, “Sorry,” and began walking with you by his side.

His hands were warm and rough, and yours felt small in his hold. You wondered if he knew that he was still holding your hand. Perhaps he did, because he began to swing your intertwined hands back and forth rather cutely as he smiled at those walking by.

You felt your face heat up. Would people think the two of you were dating? Not that you minded, but maybe Jimin would.

You slipped your hand out of his grip. “Let’s go catch up with the others before they wonder where we are.”

Keeping your steps ahead of his just slightly, you heard Jimin reply, “Oh, okay.”

-

Jimin felt his heart sink. Did you not want to be seen with him? Holding his hand and strolling along?

Maybe you just didn’t like him that way. That would really put a damper on the whole confession thing.

If he could just gain the courage to confess…

Jimin stopped in his place and looked around, searching for a certain Gryffindor that he knew could help him. Finally, he spotted Namjoon outside of Honeydukes, sucking on a lollipop as he read a book. “Go on without me, Y/n, I’ll catch up!”

“Okay,” you replied. Jimin watched until you reached the Three Broomsticks safely, then turned towards his friend.

“Namjoon!”

Although he was closer to Jungkook and Taehyung, Jimin found a unique friendship with the older Gryffindor. In talking with him, Jimin had found that Namjoon himself sometimes felt as if he didn’t belong in his house. Rather, the older boy felt he should’ve been in Ravenclaw.

“Hello, Jimin.” Namjoon smiled, the sucker still between his teeth. He folded the edge of his book and placed it under his arm. “Are you okay?”

“I need help,” Jimin spoke, his breaths turning into fog as they emitted from his lips. “I need courage to ask Y/n out.”

“How can I help you with that?” Namjoon scoffed. “You know I’m not very brave.”

“You are,” Jimin insisted. “Right now I need your bravery, because I’m deathly afraid that Y/n will reject me.”

Namjoon sighed. “I don’t know if I can help you. Confessions are clearly black and white. They either like you or they don’t. Bravery really can’t make the situation any better or worse than it already is. All you can do is tell Y/n the truth and hope your feelings are returned.”

Jimin pouted, mumbling under his breath as he walked away, “You really should’ve been in Ravenclaw.”

“That’s what I’ve been trying to say!” Namjoon shouted at his retreating friend.

-

You twiddled your thumbs nervously as you sat on a bench outside of the Three Broomsticks.

Jimin sat down beside you, and turned his body towards yours. “Y/n, can I ask you something?”

You looked up, “Of course. You know you can ask me anything, Jimin.”

“Well, I have two questions,” Jimin clarified. He looked down at his lap nervously. His lower lip was pulled under his teeth. “Here’s the first one: we’re friend, right?”

“I hope so,” you answered. To try and comfort him, you scooted closer to him so that your knees were touching.

Jimin looked at you and exhaled slowly, “Okay, well, would you still be my friend if I said I wanted something more?”

Your eyes widened and a nervous giggle escaped your lips.

A look of understanding passed Jimin’s face, as if he mistook your giggles for laughing at him. “Forget it. I know it’s stupid.” He got up to leave.

“No!” You reached out and grabbed his forearm, pulling him back onto the bench. “I’m not laughing at you.”

“Then why are you laughing?” Jimin asked, a slight pout playing on his bottom lip.

You suddenly got shy, realizing that you would have to tell him the truth, since he asked. “Because I kind of like you as more than a friend as well.”

“Really?” Jimin’s eyebrows rose in excitement and he reached out to grab your hands. “Then can we go out on an official date?”

You returned his smile, eliciting another giggle as you looked into his shining eyes. “Tell me the time and place.”

“I lied,” Jimin spoke quickly, “I actually have three questions.”

“What’s the third?”

Jimin looked bashful. “Can I kiss you?”

His face got closer to yours, and your eyes fluttered closed as you felt his breath fan your lips. “Yes.”

-

Jimin decided that the real bravery might be in kissing you. You looked even more beautiful up close, and Jimin felt a stir in his abdomen when his nose brushed against yours.

When you reached your hand up to grab his scarf and pull him closer, however, it encouraged him to close the gap.

He cupped your jaw and pulled you against him. Your lips were cold, thanks to the weather, but they quickly warmed up at the contact. He moved his lips against yours slowly and passionately in a patient struggle to convey his feelings for you. He hoped you would feel how much he truly like you.

“Oh! Jimin!” Taehyung interrupted the two of you.

Jimin groaned and pulled away, wishing to just block out the world once again and go back to kissing you.

You sighed lowly from beside him, “What do you want, Tae? Can’t you see I’m kissing my boyfriend?”

Jimin bit his lip to keep from smiling. His heartbeat sped up at your words. “Boyfriend?”

“Is that okay?” You asked quietly, ignoring the Hufflepuff beside the two of you.

“Yeah.” Jimin smiled and leaned down to kiss your forehead.

Taehyung rolled his eyes. “So, are you guys going to keep being gross or are you going to come in and have some butterbeer? It’s on me since Jimin finally had the guts to ask you out.”

“I’m not going to turn down free drinks,” you said, grabbing Jimin’s hand and pulling him behind you, into the Three Broomsticks.

BTS Face Morphs take 2!

I realized that the photos I used for the first round of face morphs weren’t of the best quality, which is why the VIXX ones came out so much clearer. So I went and found higher quality pictures to use, which made everything less choppy, especially the face shapes!

Shy Lover

You sat in front of one of the school computers, your fingers running across the key board at record speed time desperately trying to finish this bullshit essay your English teacher gave you. You had your ear phones in, trying to block out the chatter from the other students, you felt a tap on your shoulder, you yanked out your ear phones, your body whipping back, your face set in a scowl, annoyed you were getting disrupted.

“What?” You snapped.

Your face immediately softening at Taehyung nervously standing behind you, eyes wide.

“I.. I’m sorry… I just wanted t..t ask could I sit there?” He stuttered.

You looked at the seat he was talking about, your bag lying against it.

“Oh of course” you said, setting your bag down on the floor.

“I’m sorry for snapping at you, I’m just stressed” you explained smiling.

“N..no it’s fine” Taehyung quietly spoke.

Taehyung was in your class, he was normally quite loud with his friends, jumping around and saying the craziest things. But with you he was shyer, you had guessed it was because you were quite popular, boys usually gathered around you, but you didn’t want that, it was awfully boring, you couldn’t understand why people seemed to 'cling’ to you because usually you kept to yourself and stayed far away from drama but none the less that’s the way it was, but Taehyung froze up when he was near you, which you thought was adorable but at the same time you wanted to see the side of him everyone else saw.

You snapped out of your day dream looking back at the computer screen nearly crying at the about of work you had to do before the end of the day, this is why you should actually do the essay instead of spending the weekend eating and sleeping while fangirling over Got7 I mean Jackson? Are you kidding me?

“Do you need any help? I have some notes from English” Taehyung spoke.

“Really? That would be awesome”

He scooted himself closer to your computer and helped you finish the essay, at times he awkwardly looked away after you made eye contact, or when your hands accidentally touched he would yank his arm back apologising profusely.

After an hour and a half you finally finished your essay, you body leaned back stretching, your body clicking at the movement. You sat back properly in your chair and looked over at Taehyung.

“Thank you Tae, you honestly saved my life” you joked but also being half serious, your English teacher was ape shit crazy 90% of the time.

His head snapped back to look at you when you called him Tae.

“Oh not worry about it, it was no problem” he smiled at you.

“What are you doing for lunch?” You asked him.

He looked at you quizzically, not sure if you were joking or not, why would you care what he was doing?

“I was just planning to eat with my friends”

“Eat with me” you told him easily.

“Wha.. What?” He asked you shocked.

“I mean you don’t have to, but I’d like you to” you smiled at him.

He was positive this was a joke, that your friends would pop out from somewhere with a camera choking on their laughter at his reaction. Y/N L/N just asked him to eat lunch with you? Why on earth would that happen? He couldn’t find an answer.

“Look I’m sorry, I didn’t realise I was that bad” you tried to make a joke out of it but you were actually hurt from his reaction, you picked up your bag and left the computer room.

Later that day at lunch you sat on the bleachers beside the schools football field, shivering, annoyed you didn’t bring a jacket.

You saw some one from the corner of your eye make their way to you, hoping it wasn’t some guy bothering you, 'complimenting’ how thick your thighs looked, you nearly heaved at the thought.

Suddenly you felt material across your shoulders, it was a jacket? You look up and saw Taehyung smiling at you.

“I’m really sorry about before, I didn’t mean to hurt you…. I just… Was shocked”

“Why were you shocked? Am I usually a bitch?” You asked, hoping he didn’t think that about you.

“No.. But your Y/N… and I’m Taehyung”

You looked at him, he was playing with his fingers with his head down.

“Look at me” you whispered.

His head slowly moved, his eyes meeting yours.

You softly placed your hand on his cheek, his eyes wide looking like a dear caught in headlights. You slowly moved closer, giving him enough time to move away if he wanted to, but he didn’t.

Your lips softly pecking his lips before pulling back again.

He sat there shocked staring at you, you smiled back.

“I think you’re really cute Tae, but you’re so quiet with me, I would love to see you more comfortable around me”

“Oh” he replied.

“Okay then let’s go out somewhere together” he grinned at you, finding this whole new confidence. You giggled.

“Where?” You asked him.

“We could go get ice cream?”

“Sounds good” you laughed.

“What’s your favourite flavour” he excited asked you.

“Hmm… I like strawberry”

Taehyung gasped.

“Me too” he whispers causing you to burst into giggles.

He softly grabbed your hand, your fingers interlocking together.

“Thank you” he whispered.

“For what?” you asked him

“For being so kind to me” he smiled at you.

You placed your lips against his again, both your lips easily sliding against each other before you pulled back again, you kissed his cheek.

“My pleasure” you sweetly smiled at him.

The bell rang and you both went back to your class, you didn’t listen to a word the teacher said, instead you spent the entire time thinking about your date with Taehyung. Excited at the thought of being together, when you looked over at Taehyung you knew he was thing the same, causing you both to smile.
