I'm Lesley 💛I'm 33, bi, a Fangirl, a Hufflepuff and a lover of many things, especially: TV, books, movies, art and lists!I also love: yellow, prom, Parks & Recs, superheroes: Ms Marvel, Squirrel girl & WW, cinnamon buns (the baked good and the trope), Check Please!, Hairspray, rabbits, #TeamUnicorn, pottery painting, musicals, friendship, Rainbow Rowell (@fanbows for more of that 🌈) and Klaine #OTP. There isn't much I hate actually (besides bigotry) but I fervently believe that Tuesday is the worst day of the week. I am lesleynope and I approve this message!!

The true deadly sins

Lust

Not a sin- feeling sexual attraction, sex with consenting partners, masturbation, consuming pornographic media, having several sexual partners, sex before mariage. IT’S A SIN WHEN- the person projects lust onto an unwilling recipient person and does not take into account their wants or consent. Rape, harassment, sexual assault, catcalling, dick pics.

Gluttony

Not a sin- food, enjoying food, cooking, eating sweets, eating meat. In the larger sense, accumulating material things you enjoy, like books or collectibles or whatever.  IT’S A SIN WHEN- It deprives other people of what they need.

Envy

Not a sin: Wanting things you see other people have, like money, power, fame. IT’S A SIN WHEN: This is how you define people, and stop respecting them as humans. It’s a sin when you use them for what they have and what they can bring you.

Greed

Not a sin: Wanting financial security, working hard for the things you want.  IT’S A SIN WHEN: Your own financial growth depends on keeping other people impoverished and suffering.

Pride

Not a sin: Being proud of your accomplishments, liking your looks, dressing up IT’S A SIN WHEN: It stops you from accepting your faults and seeing how you can be wrong, not admitting that you can better yourself.

Wrath

Not a sin: Righteous anger at situations, being mistreated, seeing other people suffer, at the injustice of the world. Self-defense. Revolution.  IT’S A SIN WHEN: Violence towards defenceless people, hitting your partner or your kids,.  Violence fuelled by intolerance and bigotry.

Sloth

Not a sin: Resting. Sleeping. Taking a day or a year off. Being unproductive. Playing videogames. IT’S A SIN WHEN: You stay inactive when action is required. When people need you and you’d rather do nothing.

Thank you 💜💚

Glee. Back in the day a 10, I always used to be SO EXCITED for a new episode. Like get up a couple hours early so I could download and watch before work. But I don’t really rewatch the episodes now and it definitely had a couple dodgy seasons so I’ll give it an 8 by today’s standards.

Gilmore Girls. I think... 9. I want to give it. 10 but I don’t rewatch it as much as some shows I do so maybe that’s what makes a 10 (like Parks & Rec and Grace & Frankie)

Straight Men just Be Like That sometimes

Some people in the notes keep defending Straight White Men while other notes just explain that it’s Facts:

Like… This post isn’t about forgetting a name/age because of memory loss, social anxiety or dyslexia. This post is specifically about how Straight Men aren’t involved enough in their kid’s education and well-being. It’s about the inequity of gender roles, and how men aren’t expected to care too much about their children.

We have a concept for this in French: “la charge mentale” (the mental load). It explains how women are expected to do all the chores and to remember everything which is relevant about the children’s development, while the men just… aren’t.

if you literally dont know how to spell ur kids name because of “women take care of the kids” or whatever then what the fuck are you doing my dude

reminded me of this video

Deadass how dads are. I was legitimately SHOCKED when I asked my dad if he even knew what high school I was attending, he got it right after a few seconds to think. But like how do these dads think it’s okay to not know literally jack shit about their kids?

My dad thought I was left handed for 13 years, then after 5 more years, I reminded him about it and he was like “wait… you’re not?”

How many times do I have to remind him I’m right handed

My dad didn’t know what my first words were and he and my mom lived together until I was 4.

The only straight men I’ve seen who aren’t like this (with exceptions of course nothing is ever certain) are oldest brothers.

There’s even more pictures, from the second page of the link:

Never before have I so deeply wanted to live in the world of someone’s artwork. Those pictures with the human just burying their entire upper body in the floof, they speak to me on a spiritual level.
