Despite my computer troubles this month, I still managed to get this done. It only took three weeks, lol. This is my gift for @denimgingersnaps as part of the @ed-edd-n-eddy-secret-santa♡ I had a lot of fun making this and it was quite a challenge!

(This is @queen-asante btw posting from my art blog. I shall reblog this to my main as well, in case there was any confusion.)

You ink traditionally??? Crazy!

Apologies for responding so late, I never log on here.

But yeah, I do everything traditionally except for colouring. Because I’m a broke ass bitch and can’t afford a tablet, lol. Maybe someday I can acquire one and my lineart won’t look so crappy~

So I decided to go back to my Ask Rolf account this December and I’m kinda sorta redrawing the last question I was working on.

I can't believe how far my art has come since then. On the left, is the redraw. On the right, is from last February. So that's like nine months of improvement. As you can clearly see, the drawing on the right looks super stiff. The pose isn't very creative, the expressions aren't cartoony enough. I stepped away from drawing EEnE for so long that I had to literally reteach myself the style. But I'm glad it looks so much better than it did in 2013-14. The trick is to push your poses as much as possible. Bend reality! Make it as expressive as you can.

“Are you gonna hurt me now?
Or are you gonna hurt me later?” -Lana Del Rey, Flipside

Happy birthday @marlushion! ❤️ I’m sorry this took so long, but better late than never! I know we haven’t known each other for too long, but you seem like a pretty cool dude, and I really admire your art, like nobody’s business. Your drawings are absolutely amazing! I LOVE your dedication, and your colours, and your sketches, and your attention to detail, and asdfasdfga basically everything else! (“Fire Flies” is my favourite by far. I absolutely love everything about it and I want it printed out and hung on my wall. Seriously.) *favbombs and runs* I’m also remarkably entertained by your KevEddy comic, and can’t wait to read more! Hope you enjoy being 28, lol.

It don’t take much to turn a kid into a sucker.
Don’t take much to set the devil in them free.
All it takes is a cold-blooded sweet talkin’ jive-ass motherfuckin’ son of a bitch like me.
-DON’T TAKE MUCH

Been listening to The Life, very unknown musical from 1997. This song always makes me think of Bro. What I love about this musical is that the characters openly admit what they are–they never try to be anything that they’re not. If they’re villains, they bask in it and boast it to the world. You can’t help but celebrate such an amazing traditional musical score (where the Baritones are actually Baritones!), but also be repulsed by the ugliness of this as musical theatre. The performance of Tony Award winning Chuck Cooper  is particularly outstanding because he’s so viably despicable that you hiss the character but praise the performance. That’s Bro to a T. (If they make EEnE into a musical, please let Bro be a deep throat Baritone or at least a Baritenor.)

“Rolf, I know it’s not my place but you need to take control of your own life. Don’t you want that?”
“I’ve never been on my own before!” Rolf admitted in a loud voice which founded regretful. “In America…” he finished.

A scene from @eene-fangirl‘s short one-shot fanfic. I really loved the image of Rolf trapped in time, where everyone else, now in college, moved on with their lives (hence, he’s still wearing the same pair of shoes from childhood). Sorry it’s not the best, I messed up the background. :/ But I guess that’s what you get when you try to draw at five in the morning. XD

''You remind me of a man... the man with the power of hoodoo.''

‘’The who with the what now?’’

‘’You remind me of a man.’’

‘’What man?’’

‘’The man with the power of hoodoo. Is what Rolf say.’’

‘’When did you say that?’’

‘’Rolf just did, Cob Roller Ed-boy.’’

‘’Yeah well, it sounds like you’re talking with a mouthful of syrup, can’t understand ya half the time.’’

‘’Does Rolf speak Chinese or must he be your ears, Helen Keller?’’

‘’Whatever it was, it wasn’t English, Zsa Zsa Gabor.’’

‘’The Facts of Ed’’

The Facts of Life- EEnE Crossover

The reboot nobody asked for. Picture our favourite Ed boys this time in an ‘80s sitcom setting. The show revolves around four boys who must room together, slightly against their will, at an-all male boarding school, Peach Creek Academy (I would have made it a military school, as this was the intended spin-off to The Facts of Life, but all the episodes featuring Bates Academy were boring and none of the characters were all that great. Boarding school it is). You got your smart, sarcastic one who wants to be a teacher (Edd), your funny, creative one who’s an aspiring writer (Ed), your shallow self-absorbed one who happens to be a rich bitch (Eddy), and your token minority who won’t let his status define him by idolising famous, successful minorities (Rolf). Instead of a housemother, the boys live with a housebrother. That’s right, none other than Eddy’s brother. When Edd and Eddy graduate Junior High above the rest and move on to attend High School at the end of Season 4, Bro leaves the school and decides to go into business. He opens a candy store, Ed’s Edibles, where he employs his brother and his friends as they work their way through school. When the store burns down in Season 7, Eddy proposes they open a gift shop that sells useless junk, which begins their scamming adventures. They Christian the shop Over Our Eds. This series, however, deviates from the original Cartoon Network version in that it deals with heavy adult subject matter (eating disorders, racism/ xenophobia, drugs, teen sex, prostitution, suicide, learning disabilities, etc.) in moral-based episodes. The theme song has also been updated to an annoying ‘80s jingle. You’re welcome.  *insert laugh track*
