Tentatively posting here
[I need you to go look up "ICICLE WORKS - I STILL WANT YOU" and start blaring that as loud as you can right now.]
So. Typhus and I have failed in our mission to get him into everyone's bedrolls. Turns out that traumatized vampire got hands. We didn't have the heart to break up with Astarion, and I think we're DnD married now. Please keep us in your prayers.
Tav relaxing in the faewilds
Playing some Baldur's Gate, most recent Tav I've been playing: Faye.
He's a half orc, half hobgoblin Oath of the Ancient, Archfey paladin/warlock. He's old, tired and just trying to keep Shadowheart and Lae'zel frm strangling each other.
Spider Leviathan in her Kil Skuls shirt
Fun doodle I just like.
Will the reference fly? No idea, does anyone write to Penthouse anymore?
Here at Tumblr, we’ve been working hard on reorganizing how we work in a bid to gain more users. A larger user base means a more sustainable company, and means we get to stick around and do this thing with you all a bit longer. What follows is the strategy we're using to accomplish the goal of user growth. The @labs group has published a bit already, but this is bigger. We’re publishing it publicly for the first time, in an effort to work more transparently with all of you in the Tumblr community. This strategy provides guidance amid limited resources, allowing our teams to focus on specific key areas to ensure Tumblr’s future.
In order for Tumblr to grow, we need to fix the core experience that makes Tumblr a useful place for users. The underlying problem is that Tumblr is not easy to use. Historically, we have expected users to curate their feeds and lean into curating their experience. But this expectation introduces friction to the user experience and only serves a small portion of our audience.
Tumblr’s competitive advantage lies in its unique content and vibrant communities. As the forerunner of internet culture, Tumblr encompasses a wide range of interests, such as entertainment, art, gaming, fandom, fashion, and music. People come to Tumblr to immerse themselves in this culture, making it essential for us to ensure a seamless connection between people and content.
To guarantee Tumblr’s continued success, we’ve got to prioritize fostering that seamless connection between people and content. This involves attracting and retaining new users and creators, nurturing their growth, and encouraging frequent engagement with the platform.
To enhance Tumblr’s usability, we must address these core guiding principles.
Below is a deep dive into each of these principles.
If you change the chronological feed in the name of creators, I'm hunting your dumb asses for sport. This is one of the only websites that isn't actively pumped full of infuriating algorithm bullshit.
This slate of changes is moronically out of touch with how people actually use this website, and what makes it popular.
Users have been telling you idiots what they want out of this website for years. All you have to do is not shoot yourself in the foot while every other major website collapses around you.
I cannot stress this enough: adding an algorithm will make this website LESS friendly to me as content creator. Do not fuck this up.
This is how you do a meme. I don’t want to tell anyone my name or my bra size or my date of birth on the internet. Why can’t we make memes using useless and non-personal data points?

More dicking about with Spider Leviathan, lives on an archipelago called the Rogue Isles bit northwest of Bermuda. Family was from the Azores originally.
Never bitten by a spider for all this, considered one of the more successful projects under Lord Recluse's direction. Spider people are fairly common where she lives. More spider-y and far, far more feral.
Having a bit of fun with Betty, now titled Spider Leviathan. Her arms are fun to play with.
Loved Spider-verse, dusting off an old Arachnoid for a spider-sona from lets say Earth-4282004, or as she knows it: Primal Earth. A universe that disappeared and reappeared.
Big Betty Birdeater
working on stuff offline, waffling on how I want to do this. Drafting and redrafting the story as per usual. Will it come to fruition? Who knows
Missy (fabulous hair) and Dyna (glorious bone structure) at the top because I keep circling back to their other stories
The rest is Erin and Lorne
RedBubble just announced that they will start charging a fee for artists from the already scarce profits you can make from the site. Their blog post about it is here
Here’s some highlights
[image descriptions: two screenshots from the redbubble blog
Image one reads:
Here is an example of how it works for Redbubble Standard Accounts
Your artist earnings are calculated at the end of the pay period.
Say you sold products worth a retail price of $300 in total, and made $75 (avg. 25% margin) during a payment period. Your account fee is based on the total earnings of $75 and is a flat rate of $28 (see the fee table below). This is deducted from your total earnings before your monthly payment is processed, so your payment amount is $47.
Image two reads: How are fees applied when I do not meet the payment threshold?
If your final payment amount is under the monthly threshold of $20, your payment rolls over. If your earnings roll over from one month to the next you will only be charged for the new earnings. Here is an example:
Let's say you earn $15.50 in May. Then you will be charged $6.15 as an account fee. Your earnings for May are ($15.50 - $6.15) = $9.35.
Let's say you earn $87 through new sales in June. You will be charged $31 as an account fee.
Your earnings for June are ($87 - $31) = $56. You will be paid out $9.35 (May) + $56 (June) = $65.35 in the next pay run.

Because of this change I will be shutting down my redbubble account at the end of this month. I have never made enough from my redbubble to cover the fees they’re suggesting here. If you’re interesting in getting one of the few designs I still have there now is the time! Somebody the designs there may make a reappearance on another site when I have the time to properly vet another print to order service or I may start selling stickers through my kofi shop if I can get enough interest to make the up front fee worth it.
I need to find a site for replacment, because like society6 is doing similar, like they gave no reason why they are doing it.
Like asked s6 they gave (while bullshit) an answer Claiming because rising shipping fees and customers being "Price conscious" and it would mess with sales and thought that is the lesser of two evils.
Redbubble which is a very popular well known site hasn't really gave a reason, if they need more money, why not just raise base prices...bet the reason why not will be the same of s6.
Just why are these companies doing it? Is it because they know we can't afford or do a like shop shop? Its just gross
I was so moved by all the doujinshi I saw on my trip to Japan last month I wanted to make one of my own, so I spent the next six weeks revisiting some of that Giovanni/Lt. Surge business I was on about a few years back and made a 42 page sexy gay violent pokemon fancomic about Giovanni and Lt. Surge being handsy with each other.
I just finished it so if you want to read it the whole thing is pay what you want on itchio for anyone willing to throw at least a dollar my way for the pdf. (Content warning for blood, violence, eye trauma, gore, and animal/pokemon death, but the actual romancey parts are pretty fluffy and cuddly)
I’m also posting pages one at a time on my twitter in case you don’t have a dollar but still want to read it. I’d link to it but for some reason tumblr is not letting me copy and paste links, so just keep an eye on Coelasquid @ twitter for those updates.

Where'd you get them peepers
Thinking about a couple characters that share a common design element I use over and over. Big eyes
From top to bottom:
Erin the Revenant, (originally a Vampire the Masquerade character) she didn't originally have those eyes but as she's been tweaked over the past 20 years she gained them not long after the other two here. Her fun thing was that her intestines were prehensile and strong
Shizaru, a human with Aye-Aye sort of features, this is where the big eyes came from. He was originally from some Teen Titans fancomics I did on an oekaki board years ago. One of the Four Monkeys. Used him in a deviant art OC tournament "Rogue Skies" ages ago. He's fun, haven't drawn him in years. Loooong tail
Sarah Phillips, starspawn grown in a lab that can turn herself into a walking biohazard based on what chemicals she takes in. Part of an elderly lesbian couple that solve supernatural problems.
They are some of my favorites
