Something else made for school I forgot to post here, we had to illustrate a randomly illustrated sentence. I got “placid invaders burn riders through a haunted castle”

Those days I really feel like I wanna try out new approach for my drawings.

Wait what happened to Thomas Sanders???

Basically, Thomas Sanders (who, btw, is gay) used to be basically the celebrated Unproblematic Fav Uwu of Tumblr and Vine. Everyone loved him, everyone praised him for being inclusive and positive, making fun and unique vines that were appropriate and enjoyable for any age group.

Then one day he got an aphobic ask (I honestly don’t remember what this was even in response to, I think it was some really innocent one-off “I hope asexuals have a good day” type of post or something like that, idek), to which he wrote a long and sincere response that basically summed up to “Hey, that’s not a nice attitude to have, please take a moment to think about how other people must feel and why it’s so important to you to shut them down”

Within literal hours (and this is something I witnessed myself, I was online when it all went down), a smear campaign against him had started. Suddenly even people who had previously been huge fans of him were shit-talking him left and right, declaring him cringey, and grasping at straws to make “callout posts” for him. One popular argument I remember hearing was- And I shit you not, I am not making this up- He was a “pedophile” because he made videos for a family demographic and has a young-looking face, but was 29 or whatever and therefore “pretending to be a kid” or whatever the fuck. He even, gasp, made vines about high school, despite not being a high schooler himself! (Dan Green voice) That’s called “acting”, children!

His popularity never really recovered, and these days he’s mostly considered “cringey” by a large portion of the internet due to the main demographic most of his fans fall into, because you know it’s hip and cool to shame young girls and queer kids for the things that bring them joy.

So yeah, TL;DR used to be pretty well liked by the majority of Tumblr with nobody really having anything bad to say about him, expressed support for aspecs one day, immediately fell victim to exclusionist harrassment and is now at best considered just a cringey teenage girl thing.

Also part of the “pedophile” smear campaign included:

1. He has tags for not quite safe for work selfies on his blog (#nsfw and #tsbutt) (not nudes or even lewds, just pictures including his clothed butt.)

2. He accepts nsfw fanart from fans, but ONLY if the artist is 18+

3. There was ONE time where an underage artist submitted a nsfw art piece and Thomas posted it, because said artist removed their age from their bio, so Thomas had no idea it was made by a minor. He deleted the post as soon as this information came to light.

But exclusionists took all of this, mashed it with their “oh but he’s so childish, he acts like a kid even though he’s nearly 30, he must be hiding something!” And ran so far with it that Thomas Sanders severely suffered for it. Even his fans got shit for liking him. A lot abandoned him out of fear that a similar campaign would start against them.

So yeah. Fuck exclusionists, honestly.

He got smeared for videos he made With high schoolers as well, high schoolers from a drama club from his old high school, whom he was asked back to help out by his own teachers. Which is commonplace, and not sketchy in the slightest. He made wholesome, age-appropriate content and STILL got “cancelled” because exclusionists can’t handle it when good queer people who don’t share their dumb views are successful.

Welcome to Barely Surviving Idiots !

We’re a DnD group of young adventurers, trying to survive what the world (and our mighty DM) lays before us. We’re just getting started but we’re hoping to become stronger, get laid, and maybe slay the Ancient Evil we might have unleashed ourselves by accident… And not die in the process. That would be nice too.

Our beautiful members from top to bottom :

Ernest-Marco (sadly died when the Evil was unleashed) • Shen (currently missing) • Gerald AlixOnyxLaënUmomoAile

LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL DRAWING LLYL DID OF OUR DND TEAM!!!

last but not least (or maybe yes, he is the least) Gerald is a Bard coming from the City of Sails : Luskan. The team is probably wondering what he is doing here, thruth is : he don’t know either. He does not have a flattering physique, if nature was fair, it would have given him some brain, but unfortunately, this guy is dumb as fuck. If the whole team get killed, it’ll be probably because of him. I played myself thinking that for my first DND party (that I supposed won’t be long), i’ll just make a personnification of this dumb seal in the world of dory because that will be fun, I’ve been playing him for almost a year now.

note from Onyx: “He’s super dumb but he’s fun to hang out with.”

Growing up in a monastery in Thethyr where he was abandonned as a young child, Alix only ever knew about the outside world from books. Which might explain his innocent and gullible nature. This added to his tendency to blindly follow autority convinced his master to send Alix travel around the world in hope of making the young apprentice grow up and expanding his vision of the world. By some coincidence along his journey, he found himself on his first quest, that he might not understand the weight of.

note from Onyx: “He’s okay.. for a cleric.” note from Gerald: “He is good at holding books.” note from Aile: “with Umomo, probably the only other genuinely nice person in this team.”

Time for the boys!

Native of Mulhorand, Onyx lived most of his life with his human mother in seclusion until one day he suddenly had to leave. Since then he’s been traveling across all Faerûn trying to gather all kind of knowledge about magic and other things. He seems like a snarky happy-go-lucky type of guy, with a strong love for books, a strong hatred for priests and authority and a certain knack to find himself in horrid situation despite his supposed intelligence. But you know what they say: beware of people that always put a smile on their face, you don’t know what they’re hiding behind it. Or maybe he’s really just an idiot with great luck.

note from Gerald : “You don’t wanna see him smile, trust me.” note from Aile : “so far, a jerk with an handsome face. But we shall see…”

Hi, this is my DnD character!

Born in a small village from an innkeeper and an orc mercenary, Umomo discovered the Temple of Sune during her teenage years. Devoted to the cult of Love and Beauty, she decided to leave her hometown to preach her Goddess words around, see for herself Her wonders in the world, and maybe try to hear from her dad in the mean time.

note from Aile : “she’s adorable and super nice. MUST PROTECT!!!” note from Gerald : “Best shield on the field! and she smell nice.”
note from Onyx: “She’s funny. And a very good shield.”

Next up is Aile !

Aile is a Fierce fighter with a soft spot for romance stories and strong interest in her friends love life. She left her native dwarven city to become a soldier, hoping to enroll into Waterdeep’s military. This plan however was compromised when she met Shen, a half-elf who had deep trouble with the local police. Despite herself she took a liking to him and agreed to help him with a job he was offered : join a group of unlikely adventurers to retrieve a magic book. She has strong respect for authority but can have aggressivity and panic outbursts when she gets distressed and sometimes speaks before she thinks. Only problem is : she’s quite loud.

note from Laën : "Aile still doesn’t know the wonderful meaning of the word “boundaries"” note from Umomo : "BFF <3 <3 YASS GIRL <3 XOXO” note from Onyx: “she’s savage af” note from Gerald : “watch out where you walk, you might step on her.”

The first character in the team! Laën, the sorceress. Shady treasure hunter, Laën wanders through the Realms searching for lost artifacts and art objects, mostly to provide her father antiques business. Elusive and snarky, she definitely didn’t plan to become part of the group when she joined the team put together by the wizard Gawyn. Now stuck with a band of misfits whose mistakes (and hers) released an ancient evil, she must reluctantly do her share to resolve the situation. And deal with past misdeads.

note from Gerald : “only good for making tiny balls of magic light.”  note from Aile : “the closest thing we might have to a leader… But she seriously needs to work on her work ethic”
