“What’s better, doc,” she asked, grinning meanly, “That daddy never said he loved me, or that he swore he did when I was killin’ him?”

My very first outlast OC was a girl named Abigail, who i decided against playing because I was to anxiety riddled to try introducing a female OC. She plays a big role in Darren’s backstory, though I don’t get to write about her as much as I’d like at all.

Raised by in an abusive home by a bible-thumping preacher, Abigail believes she died years ago when her father locked her in a closet and starved her for days to ‘purify her thoughts’. So believing, she communes with an entity she calls ‘God’ or ‘God Under the Mountain’, and it was this creature that, according to her, told her when and how to kill her abusive father. She does not deny doing the deed, but neither does she seem to understand the severity of her actions -- she speaks freely and often of killing him in the same way she talks about most anything, bluntly and without flair.

send me an au and i’ll give you 5+ headcanons about it
  1. If Darren managed not to get himself committed for sticking his nose where it didn’t belong, he’d be working at a free clinic or a small town CMH
  2. He doesn’t like crowds at all
  3. He is wheelchair bound most of the time after some nasty malnutrition issues and damage to his prosthetic limb and the stump itself during the riot
  4. Carefree, flirty, somewhat snarky Darren is gonesville, baby, he’s all about laying low and not drawing attention to himself
  5. Still, he takes good care of himself. He survived hell, he’s not just going to roll over and let himself go.
  6. If he did get committed he’s probably dead lol
