Description:A silk kimono featuring stenciled bamboo grass and tatewaku motifs. This kimono was worn seasonally: tatewaku (rising steam) is a spring motif, symbolizing the steam rising from plants at the first spring heat. The artwork is very graphic, with the choice of colors imparting a surreal effect.
