3 days class: fail or nail?
On a normal, regular week of a student living in the Philppines, we have to spend 5 days per week attending school 8 hours a day starting from Monday to Friday. Each class starts as earl as 7:00 AM up to 4:00 PM. Now I’m on my Senior year in high school, schedules have changed and the then 5 school days became 4 with 2 half-days and 2 whole days every week.
As for the 3 days class scheme, there are some negatives and positives that came with it but as for me, I’ll focus on the negatives.
First, things will revolve on technology and internet which we are all aware that, yes, maybe some of us can lay our hands on different technologies but not -everyone have access on the internet which is a no-no because in this lack of access on the internet, there is a huge tendency for the students to submit reqs later than the given deadline and also acquiring internet is pricey. As for those with easy access to the internet, they could easily get distracted to use their gadgets on other purposes rather than using it for what is needed to be done first.
Second and last but not the least, Lack of social and personal bonding between the Teacher and Students. Student and teacher relationship is crucial for the students learning and for the improvement of the teacher quality of teaching. In this scheme, student and teacher will lack the engagement necessary to benefit both parties.
And now this is ending, we should all remember that school plays a huge role in developing students in any shape or form whether its socially or academically. Whatever the scheme or schedule is used as long as the students will learn and develop the days in school won’t matter at all.
