(this is not a joke post. i know it’s april fools day, but i’m completely serious here)

Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of moving my blogging to a brand new main account.

I’ve had a good time here, but I feel I’ve grown a lot since I joined, and I’ve been wanting to make a fresh start on tumblr for a while. The beginning of a new month and a new phase in life seems like a good time for that.

This blog is staying up for now.

New blog still needs a ton of work before I start using it.

Ohhhhh no. I’m not clicking on any of that stuff. Nope. Can’t make me.

The skin biopsy wasn’t painful aside from getting the anesthetic. Now the wound just itches like heck.

Also, some lab work came back and my raging gut infection is finally gone.

Hmm. I don’t think I’ll ever mention this in fic, so I’ll go ahead and reveal it here.

Justiciar Kynril’s Falmeri grandfather, a mer named Morilion, has been soul-trapped for thousands of years. He stands guard in the depths of Blackreach, now a dwarven centurion, and he is still aware of everything that goes on around him and his own identity from life. He cannot escape to Aetherius, and his only comfort is the knowledge that his daughter escaped from Skyrim.

I’d post a selfie but I feel tired and gross and have no spoons?

Today’s big challenge:

Getting a skin biopsy of a creepy looking, badly-healed spot on my leg. I’m going to be awake for it so I have to remember to take anti-anxiety meds in 90 minutes. Ugh.

On the rare occasions I get far roleplaying as Kyndoril he usually just steals all the copies of The Song of the Pelinal from Cyrodiil’s temples in an act of elven displeasure, then fences them.

Avatar

I keep trying to roleplay as the mer in Oblivion but it winds up being difficult. The thing is, Kyndoril is not a violent mer or much of a fighter. I can barely justify him being in character escaping from the Imperial prison, even thinking, “Well his life is in danger now and he’ll literally die if he just hides down here.”

Picking a sign for him isn’t hard because my characters use their actual stars regardless of disadvantage. He was born under the Lord. Which in Oblivion kind of sucks for Altmer. Extra weakness to fire. :U

But then there’s skill selection. Blade I guess? He’s a noble so he’s probably practiced with a sword a little. But he doesn’t like fighting? Well it’s a skill he has so might as well grab it. Restoration? But he’s not a master of healing for about another two-hundred years, I don’t even know if he’s okay at it now. Sneak? Well, he’s going to become a master thief. Blade and Sneak, now I just need to pick five more things.

Avatar

But yeah.

In this particular setting, Kynril’s father was the hero running around Cyrodiil during the Oblivion Crisis. He assisted Martin Septim, from Kvatch all the way to the end. (And also had relations with the man. Don’t tell Alinor.)

And he got up to other activities, some less lawful than others. There is a reason he was able to evade the Thalmor for years and escape to Riften.

That nonsense with Umaril the Unfeathered never happened and a different person became Sheogorath.

no it’s the right to bear arms. as in big furry forelimbs that are good for running really fast and standing in waterfalls to catch salmon with your mouth.

Elder Scrolls Online PvP is relaxing when there’s a nice, friendly group running. Even when getting flanked during seige or pulled off a speeding senche on the way to the objective. Being good to your teammates makes a ton of difference. :3

@betterbemeta and I were joking about TES elves recently and then she said that King Laloriaran Dynar definitely had nice legs.

I just played through the CORE in Undertale.

he has fantastic legs he stood before the gates of delodiil and turned back the daedric hordes with a flex of his impuntive thighs

Don’t forget his deeds in High Rock.

*clears throat*

*strums lute*

Who took up arms that winter dawn and to Glenumbra came?

To flex their calves ‘gainst tyrants, stand and fight in freedom’s name?

Who did splits on the field that hour to answer Direnni’s call?

Legs, Ayleid-borne, both came that morn, to fend the land for all!

Thighs, thighs! To freedom, thighs! Thighs, ye Breton sons and daughters.

Thighs, thighs! To freedom, thighs! Truth and glory to his legs!

Good news: the family dog understands that a tornado siren or the weather radio means “it’s time to get in the basement”.

Unfortunately, he has the same reaction to the noise coming from a TV or a computer, and seems to get more upset when people do not follow him to the basement.

(We are not having tornadoes right now. But they’re a possibility tomorrow.)
