there are very few people in this world who could possibly fathom how much it pains me knowing at this point that while a neglectful and abusive couple get the “worst parents of the year” award of multi-paragraph descriptions and face-to-face conversation where you understand parts of their personality and oh jeez would you look at that names…
…while the mother and step-father who were able to raise a kid like Yata who has such a good heart but doesn’t always know how to go about it in the best possible way get maybe one paragraph (combined) of physical description, hardly any suggestions to personality (aside from a loving, strong, and obviously self-sufficient mother who was single raising her son for however long before marrying a stepfather who works to make a livable home for his kids and new wife and also enjoys his wife’s cooking) and NO NAMES
