This year has been all about learning a new city and hustling for work. I have to keep reminding myself that it took me years to get consistent work in Portland. Running a photography business is all about my client base, which I’ve had to reestablish since I’ve moved. I’ve already had a few exciting opportunities in Richmond and I really think 2020 is going to be even better. It’s so easy to feel lost when my business slows down for the holidays, but I really just can’t wait to get back to work. 💪

Last year, my word for 2019 was “Change”. We moved across the country and bought our first house. My family struggled through the loss of my grandpa. I visited Asia for the first time. I turned 30 and started a new decade of my life. It’s been an interesting, stressful, yet eye-opening year. I’ve been having a hard time deciding on a word for 2020, but I think I’ve finally settled on “Conquer”. I have a lot of fears that I’m ready to say goodbye to and quite a few creative projects I want to see through to the end. Plus, there’s nothing wrong with feeling like a Queen. 👑
