Pretty much every time I reblog or post about this, I get at least one person telling me they had no idea Planned Parenthood offered HRT. This is really important, ya’ll.

As @4lung mentioned above, Planned Parenthood offers HRT under informed consent. This means there is no requirement for a psych diagnosis or seeing a separate endocrinologist.

this is really great but keep in mind there are so many people who can’t access this. like I live 2 hours away from the nearest of these and don’t have a car, and I’m sure there are thousands even worse off than me, like anyone living in the south or mid-west. also hormones are expensive and even insurance providers who cover hormones are less likely to decide it’s medically necessary if you haven’t gone through the different evals, which means no coverage.

like I’m not trying to be a downer I just want to remind people that there are still a lot more hurdles between trans people and hormones. keep fighting.
