It’s placed the Australian in either New York or southern Florida, and actually I can accept this.
So @hisnamewasbeanni and I are apparently from more or less the same area, without actually speaking anything that even vaguely resembles the same language.
So apparently I’m more like @hisnamewasbeanni than @dwendog who grew up closer to me but also like neither?
In conclusion, Australia doesn’t know what it’s doing when it comes to language.
Alternate conclusion: surveys designed to evaluate American dialects may not work perfectly when conducted on non-Americans?

Anyone else have a period of time after school ends that they just CANNOT think about school?
I see all these people in FB groups and on insta just planning, planning, planning and I can’t for the life of me get on-board. I can’t think of anything school related until late July or early August. I usually wait until the feeling of dread has passed and then I feel ready to begin anew.
I’m going to the beach next week. After that, I MIGHT be ready to think about school again... maybe...
