Pockets are for birds and beer.
Ellie Update: Moved to a new apartment, just outside downtown Detroit. It’s taking her awhile to get used to the loft layout. She can’t seem to figure out that I’m on the floor above her, because when I talk to her from the loft she looks around for the source of the noise.
I still haven’t taken her up to the top floor, because the fencing doesn’t go all the way to the floor. And I don’t want to find out what would happen if she fell from there. Although, my brother seems convinced that she’ll miraculously figure out how to fly and zoom around the room.
I disagree.
Thinking bellsbrewery should drop the fish on their Two Hearted Ale bottle and use Elephant instead. 🐘🍺😝
They just love each other. #cousins
Ellie's makin' a break for it. 🐘💨
Best friends keep each other close. 💛
My food always looks better. Even though she gets the same thing on her own plate!
Do I have something in my beak?

Beauty in black & white. 💛
Ellie ended up back at the vet again today. That's the third time just this year (and she's not even 1-year-old yet). Needless to say... I'm worried about her. The good ole doc seems to think it's around the same thing I took her in for last time. But he couldn't decide if the sweeping of her eye was from a sinus infection or some sort of trauma. I'm realizing quickly that there's not very much known about bird illnesses (i.e. causes/symptoms) and to tell you the truth it's downright frustrating! I'd like to be able to know what's causing Ellie to get sick so I can help her not to feel the way she is right now. If there are any bird owners out there who have had experience with sinus infections and/or swollen eyes, please please let me know how you overcame it! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Ellie got to play with her cousin Greyson this weekend. They became quick friends. I think she misses him now that we are home though 😿
