My dad needs help

I use to try avoid post like these but, karma has a funny way of working. I know that I don’t post a lot and am not really that popular but my family needs help. My dad, Carlos, fell down a flight of stairs and hurt his arm and shoulder and is now unable to go to work. He is has a very strong sense of pride, so he didn’t even tell me. (machismo, but anyway)  I just noticed that my family back home was struggling more than we usually do. I’m in college, so I don’t regularly get to see them. My sister told me what happened, and how there isn’t enough money to make bills. 

He’s a good man and I am soooo soooooo lucky to have this man as a father. He was the best father to me when I came out, and actively worked to make schools more accepting of the LGBT+ community ever since. He has ALWAYS been serious about keeping our roots (Afro-Cuban), and our religion. If anyone was down the would always make time to make people smile.

He actively tries to make peoples days brighter, whether it’s at work or in the grocery store. I know that he’s in a bad place right now, and just won’t mention it. He went to the doctor yesterday and was told that he needs to have the surgery as soon as possible to prevent any permanent damage to his shoulder and arm, he estimated that he would need the surgery by May 5th before the injury does damage to his nervous system. My mother and my sister are constantly at their alter praying for change in this situation.

So, all my siblings and I are starting a GoFundMe campaign for him so we can pay for the surgery. I completely understand if you can give any donation (I’m a college student, I know), I would just ask to please please please share, or pray to whichever god(dess) you worship, or even do a small spell for us to reach the goal. I just want my dad to be back the goofy, kind man that he is.I can’t thank you guys enough for even reading this.

Hi I’ve really been debating doing this but my bf has gotten into a really bad situation and I realllyyyy want to be able to help him since he thinks he’s out of options

My boyfriend is an immigrant that has only lived in the US for the past 6 months and he came from Venezuela hoping things would be better and for the most part they have. He’s worked nonstop and was finally able to buy his own car. Mind you he doesn’t have his license, or work permit because he’s only been here a few months and is in the early process of becoming a citizen.

Anyways, he was pulled over recently and since he didn’t have a license he had his car impounded and was almost arrested. He’s able to get his license now because of the phase he’s at in becoming a citizen but because of the recent situation he’s in need of a lot of money which he doesn’t have. He also really needs his car to do his job since the majority of it consists of doing deliveries and its really just a horrible situation. He was also going to be sending food to his family in Venezuela since the situation has gotten so bad there and he hasn’t been able to because of his financial situation. My boyfriend works 7 days a week with days that are usually over 12 hours long and even has a second job meaning he literally goes days without sleeping sometimes. He’s tiring himself out and because of the recent situation its not paying off. This whole situation has had him really down since he knows he doesn’t have many options and i just want to try and alleviate as much of the stress as possible.

I just want to help him any way I can so I started a fundraiser in hopes of being able to help him out even a little bit. A lot of us are so blessed to not have to go through what so many immigrants/our parents have/are going through which is why I really encourage you to donate/share if you have the opportunity.
