Alec immediately raised his hands up in surrender when he saw the girl’s swift movements. “I yield,” he said, slowly lowering his hands. The boy looked over to where she was gazing prior momentarily before turning his attention back towards he brunette. “What’re you doing here?”
Scout tried her best to slow her breathing, not exactly succeeding but not failing either. She looked away, down at the city below. “I’m just here to relax. To be alone.”
Well you are not very pleasant. I’m Miracle.
“I’m pleasant when people aren’t sneaking up on me, Miracle.”
Instead of answering her question, Kendall sighed. “Didn’t think anyone else really came up here,” She said, placing her hands back into the pockets of her leather jacket before sitting down next to her.
“I’ve been hearing that a lot...” She mumbled, slightly ashamed by her reaction to a small noise. There wasn’t anything to fear anymore... Not in this town, anyway.
“But when you put the lip gloss on, you taste the flavor. I don’t eat it straight from the bottle.”
“Still... Goes on your mouth, not in your mouth.”
“Hey, its me, Aria- Relax,” the girl said as she took a seat behind the girl. “Didn’t know anyone else came up here.”
“Me neither,” She sighed, closing her eyes for a brief moment in relief. “I don’t come here often if that’s what you mean.”
Sorry… Didn’t expect anyone to be here.
“Yeah. Neither did I.”
“Thank you, I really appreciate it.”
“I’m not doing you any favors,” She giggled, “I’m just being a friend.”
“Oh are you sure? I would absolutely love to, but I don’t wanna be a bother.”
“No, no. It’s totally fine. You can just pop over any time.”
Miracle gave her a soft smile. “Hi. I’m Miracle.”
“Yeah, and I’m the Grace of God now I’ll ask you again, ‘who are you?’”
Rylan had been shuffling his feet the entire time he had been walking- not paying very much attention. Of course all of that changed when he heard a voice speaking to him. Looking up, he raised an eyebrow at the petite brunette staring back at him. “What are you doing out here in the middle of no where?”
Hand still poised and ready, the girl looked the other up and down, unsure of whether to be prepared or not. “I could ask you the same thing.”
“Uh— ‘s me. I mean, Dane. I didn’t, uh, didn’t expect anyone to be up here, sorry. I can go”
“No, no.” The girl shook her head, moving her hand away from the pocket that concealed her weapon. “Dane, it’s fine. You scared me.”
“I wouldn’t say so. Lip gloss and fruit aren’t the same thing.”
“Yeah... I was being sarcastic... Because I’m pretty sure you aren’t supposed to eat lipgloss...”
“Well that’s the thing, I want to do something fun because I usually don’t. I have nothing to clean, I don’t own a bike, I hate watching movies alone and I don’t have many friends to do anything with. I’m stuck for ideas because I’m usually a very boring girl.”
“Well, you can hang out with me?”
Lennox opened up her almost empty lip gloss and wiped it on her lips. “Ugh, I love the taste of strawberry kiwi in the morning.”
“I love the actual taste of strawberries and kiwis in the morning... But that’s totally the same thing, right?”
It’s such a nice feeling being off of school, i don’t have to see any of you dumb fucks while I get to stay at home.
“What’s up your butt?”
”I actually have a couple more days off of work. This is so strange; what do I even do with my life? I feel like if I do what I usually do when I don’t work I won’t be making the most of my free time.”
“Well, don’t say that! You have plenty of things you can do with your time! I mean, they might not be the most fun things but you can still do them! You can cook, clean, you can ride your bike, you can go watch a movie, or spend time with friends... There’s tons to do!
Hand reaching up to cover the sunlight from her eyes Scout began to pick apart different shapes in the clouds before she looked down, observing how small the people looked in comparison to where she sat, legs tossed over the side of the water tower. Upon hearing a small noise to her left, she turned sharply, hand immediately going to the small switch blade in her pocket. “Who’s there?”
