losing my goddamn mind over this being varric's author portrait on Swords & Shields
who's idea was this? who arranged this? his publisher? who are these women? is this a painting varric had to sit for? how does varric feel about this? how did this affect cassandra's opinion of varric prior to meeting him? how badly did varric's friends roast him over this? i have so many questions
thinking about that dialogue where sebastian suggests turning merrill and anders over to the templars and fenris completely shuts him down:
fenris at most loathes the both of them, and at the very least mistrusts them and thinks they're dangerous and says unkind things to them (not necessarily unprovoked in anders' case, but still). and yet he does not seem to even consider turning them into the templars.
you can argue that fenris does it out of respect for hawke, but whether fenris is friends with hawke depends entirely on one's playthru, and also, though he uses that as a jab at sebastian, he doesn't use it as an excuse for himself. he is simply completely firm on the fact that he isn't going to do it.
and i think the reason for this is that fenris knows what it's like to be hunted, to have to hide, to always be looking over your shoulder. he might agree with the circles, but he knows what it's like for anders and merrill to live in a city like kirkwall as apostates. and while he might despise having to admit any similarity between himself and them, i'm sure he's aware of it on some level.
and in conjunction with that, there's something of an unacknowledged quid pro quo. merrill and anders could turn fenris over to bounty hunters just as he could turn them over to templars. but they don't, and he doesn't. it's an understanding of being in the same social group. he might hate them, but he won't betray them. and he, of all people, will not be the one to bring his companions' pursuers down on their heads.

- i feel like bakugo would try his best not to yell at you cause he’d never wanna lash out with you
- you’d probably do the same, unless he did something really stupid
- you guys wouldn’t argue much, but if you did it was small
- if it was more serious...whew
- you’d both do your best not to raise your voices at each other, but sometimes one of you would fail
- if it’s bad enough, then you two would definitely start yelling at each other
- since you both are probably really loud, deku and kiri would come see what was going on; and, of course, they’d break it up

- i’m assuming since you’re dating bakugo, you’re probably a little petty. even if you don’t wanna admit it
- you guys would give each other the silent treatment for a WHILE
- you’d stay in your rooms or avoid each other at school
- bakugo would struggle tho; he’d keep glancing at you in class or in training
- sometimes he’d find himself going to sit with you at lunch, then he’d remember
- after a day or two, he’d finally give up and call you to his room
- as soon as you come in the room, he’d wrap his arms around you tight and rest his face in your neck
- after a while of hugging it out, he’d apologize to you. if it was a really bad argument, like a last straw kind of thing, he’d probably be shaking and maybe cry a bit
- he’d give you so many kisses and tell you how much he loves you dang what did you guys argue about?
- then youd both cuddle for the rest of the night and just appreciate each other’s presence. and trust, you both missed each other...a lot
