Rock Candy Geode! (Followed recipe from YouTube here.)

Notes: took about three times longer for the sugar to crystallise. Don’t know why. Used microwave tempering for the chocolate; resulting tempering wasn’t too bad - could’ve used more heat with the dark layer. Severely underestimated the amount of white chocolate needed, which is why both layers (dark and white) are uneven. Overall, pretty happy with it nonetheless.

I didn’t realize the entire thing was candy at first.

Here I initially thought this was a legit rock, like some precious stone smothered in chocolate.

little wyverns that sleep with the herders to keep them warm.

little drakes that hunt like hawks for the shepards on long journeys

Scales that bush against woolies and help keep them clean. Sheep lick by dragon tongue to make them fire proof, so the dragon doesn’t accidently hurt his charges. freshly hatched dragons sharing milk with little lambs. a hoard of golden fleeced, fire resistant sheep guarded by dragons.

Geode Knitting Pattern

This is attempts number two and three at a knitted geode. I would love to spend more time on these, making wonkier shapes, more colour options, just plain bigger versions. At the moment I’d be quite happy to spend the entire year knitting rocks, I’m not sure that the website would keep getting hits if I did though.
