Bye bye tumblr

I don't really use my tumblr but I've always had a sort of love-hate relationship with it. On one hand I've had it since eighth grade in 2012 and it was exclusively how I connected to multiple fandoms I was in. But on the other it's been so full of problems and I could never manage to regularly update my blog once I got out of middle school. Seeing as tumblr wasn't how I got most or almost any of my following or commissions I'm not struggling to leave at all. I'm most active on my instagram, kitty_cay so I suggest if you like me all that much, you should go there. I actually post my work there and it's currently the only social media hosting all of my recent work. Commissions are closing soon anyway so it isn't like this all happened at an unfortunate time either. I've only announced this on instagram but I'm developing a game on my own so once I manage to get into pillowfort.io I'm going to run my dev blog there.

I'm not deleting my blog but seeing as all this garbage is going on I'm not holding my breath that it'll stay. I won't be coming back or logging in after the changes are put in place. Due to an increased volume of orders, my commissions will not remain permanently open for the near future. Due to a high demand, they will be prioritized when commissions are open. Commissions for anything else will be open as usual, but it will be harder to get a commission slot if it is not FEH related. Took some quick photos because I just finished Haida and Retsuko! I really love how they ended up turning out and how they look when posed. Retsuko is about 5 inches tall (6 including ears) and Haida is about 8 inches tall (9 including ears). These two already have a home lined up for them but I am open for Aggretsuko commissions as of now! Characters start at $65 plus shipping each but prices may change depending on if you'd like them in different clothes or expressions/face styles. I don't normally post WIPs online, but I needed to document just how much time I spent getting these two's heads to look right. Also, I feel like people should post all the mistakes they made during the creative process more often just to remind beginners that this will almost always happen. With Haida, I went through 3 patterns for the head: My first attempt, one to fix the shape, and one to fix the size. Then, once that struggle was done I went through 2 or 3 patterns for the muzzle before getting the final one (2 of them pictured above). It was easier with Retsuko because her overall shape is flatter and simpler, but I still had to revise the pattern to get the shape right. Everything for her is done as of now, just gotta sew her head and tail to the body. Working on Haida's body currently but got the base of it sewn. Once they're done they'll also be poseable like all of my latest plushies have tended to be!
