"Ooh, I see.." She squeaked and curled up in his arms, squeezing her eyes shut and hiding against him. She could hear the crew above them, and the voices of so many spooked her. Sakura gasped and shivered as she felt him touch her tail and her cheeks flushed a bright red. Her tail was very sensitive. "Th-Thank you.."
He laughed holding her close and petting her hair "dont worry they wont hurt you " he reassured rubbing her back as they were hoisted up. He stepped out the boat hopping onto the ship helping tug the filled boat on deck with the mermaid in it. The crew men gathered around for a moment to admire her before sent back to work. "now how should we go about this, princess... would you like legs?"
"Are you royalty..?" She stared up at him, her eyes wide with curiosity. She smiled at the idea of his protection and nodded. "Thank you…" Sakura watched him silently for a few moments before shakily reaching out to him. "I trust you.."
"no but i am highclass of sorts" he said reaching out to her. He put his arms around her and pulled the mermaid in his arms, tugging her into the half full boat so her tail wouldnt dry out. "wow your fins are really pretty too " he noticed, running his hands along her colorful tail. He whistled tugging the rope for the crew to tug them up into the ship.
She smiled and nodded, following him eagerly. “Thank you…” She looked up at the ship, whimpering nervously. “I collect things from shipwrecks… What do you do, Faustino?”
"I'm a noble, I collect things too but not from wrecks, mostly expensive markets with rare jewels and artifacts from countries ive been too" he told her "dont worry, its nice and comfy up there, I'll be sure to protect you from any of my men if they're rude to you" he told her before whistling for them to lower the ropes. He used a bucket to fill some of the bottom of the dingy holding his hands out after he secured the boat on the ropes "I'll pull you in- trust me... I'll protect you alright?" he promised seeing her discomfort with the ship.
"Really?" She blushed and smiled as she watched their fingers lace together. "And I’ll be with you the whole time..? I don’t think I could walk with legs though…" She looked back at him and smiled. "I want to go with you on the ship." Her cheeks flushed a darker red as he kissed her hand.
"well what kind of man would i be if i didnt teach you, señorita" He told her nodding "follow me then" he told her rowing towards the ship becoming her to follow him. "tell me about yourself, bella... what do you do when youre not swimming up here"
"You do?" She perked and smiled happily, slowly reaching up to taking his hand. "I’d like that.. The other merpeople make fun of me… I don’t like it down there…"
"what a shame... up here you're going to be royalty, a treasure among coals" he told her wistfully lacing his fingers with hers. "I have a ship near by, we can fill this boat with water so you're comfortable... I know a few spells and such that can grant you legs temporarily.. but only for a bit and only if you want. I can easily pull you around in a nice tub or tank of water for your comfort." he suggested kissing her hand playing the poor girl in his fingers.
she gasped softly and blushed, watching him shyly. He was doing a very good job with gaining her trust. “Th-Thank you… F-Faustino…” She tilted her head a bit to press her cheek against his hand. “I like the surface… Its nice up here…”
He caressed her cheek "do you? well, I dunno if you're up for it but i do have a way to take you up and take you arround the surface.. only if you wish* he had told her continuing his hand up to run his fingers through her hair. "what do you say? I'll your you around my home on land easily"
She bit her lip and slowly reached out to take the shirt. She slipped it on and sighed softly, smiling as she took in his scent. She smiled shyly at him and nodded. “Sakura…” The mermaid swam a little closer to him, thinking he was a friendly man.
Faustino held his hand out touching her soft hair leaning over the side of his small boat "what a pretty name.. I'm Faustino" he told her. "you're very lovely, I didnt think merpeople come to the surface often... do you like it up here?" he was charming, smiling to her and complimenting the pretty creature, warming her up.
Sakura squeaked softly and looked over at the small boat, her eyes widening when she saw the handsome man inside. She debated jumping into the water, but her curiosity got the best of her. Instead, she shyly waved to the pirate, but did not speak. Her arms went over her bare chest to hide from him, just in case he was one of the perverted men she had heard so much about.
He smirked seeing how she didnt immediately swim off.. he figured he'd show her kindness to convince her he wasn't as bad as he really was. he chuckled taking off his shirt holding it out to her "if youre uncomfortable topless, take this, it wont cover too much but it'll help..." he said "can you speak? whats your name?" he asked warmly
