I haven’t posted on reviseordie in so long, and I wanted to write an explanation, and tell this lovely, wonderful community of followers about why and what I have planned next! That’s right guys, my days of educational illustration are NOT over! Keep reading to find out more and see my new illustration work...
03/04/17 - I’m currently planning out my final assessment for one of my modules. This is where I’m up to so far- choosing the question!
So this is my first ever time lapse Procreate of my notes! As you can probably tell, sometimes I scribble random words and lines over the screen (either in curiosity or frustration), but I think it's really interesting to watch back to see the order that I do things in and identify the process I use. Let me know your thoughts on this and whether you'd like to see more notes time-lapse videos in the future! P.s. Sorry about some of my bad spelling mistakes (I'm looking at you 'Berlinda')
27/03/17 - Just about to type this all up. A mixture of excitement and dread ensues. (Excuse my incorrect spelling of Belinda)
P.s. Still trying to figure out the best way to take pics of my iPad with concern to lighting, if anyone has any tips please let me know! Once I’ve typed my essay I’ll post a still saved image of my notes and type up a few bits on how I plan for my assessments if people would like? ☺️
26/03/17 - I'm currently essay planning on my iPad, using Procreate and One Note in split screen mode. I use One Note to take rough notes in lectures and seminars, and Procreate to make them look more presentable! If you have any questions about either of these apps/using the Apple Pencil please do drop me a line!
YOUR NOTES ARE STUNNING!! Do you take your notes like that in class? or do you have other techniques and styles?
Hiya! Thanks so much! ❤ Nowadays I type up my notes in class on the One Note app, and then use my iPad to draw them up afterwards on an app like Procreate. If not then I’ll draw them up if they’re super important ones that I really need to remember!
hello, I hope you are well! I was wondering how do you keep your notebooks all nice and flat? Mine always seem to get a bit bent at the edges even if my backpack is very neat :/ hope you have a good day!
Hiya! Try getting a piece of cardboard and putting it in a plastic wallet, put it at the back of your bag and rest your books up against it- works a treat! I used to do it with my artwork when I was in school. Nowadays I take my iPad with me to uni and that works in the same way! Hope that helps :)
18/03/17 - Why hello there! It's been a while! I hope (and am pretty sure) that you're all doing incredibly. I've been very busy throughout my second year at university so far; I work as a graphic designer for Sheffield Student's Union and as a digital marketing officer for a local events company, as well as being President of the Advertising and Marketing Society. On top of all of that I've been lucky enough to be offered a place with Unilever on their marketing placement year programme, and then of course there is my degree to also consider! Despite having such a packed schedule, I do miss being able to blog here more regularly at Revise or Die. I'm going to try much harder to post and create beautiful content for you all to enjoy, but for the meanwhile, check out this handout I made for a presentation in one of my Restoration literature seminars. I used my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to create the colour and images, then I printed it off and added notes in biro. Everyone else in my class also got a print off but without notes, so that as I gave the presentation they could make them around the edge of the sheet. Take care all of you! X
02/10/16 - Hello there! It’s a new term at uni and I’m now in my second year of my English literature degree! This year I’m trying out doing some of my notes all on my iPad which I bought for my graphic design work I do, but I’d love to know your thoughts of these! Hope you’re all getting on well. Lots of love! X
hiiii, did you know who your flatmates were before you arrived at university in September? are you friends with all of them?
Hi! I found them all (9 of them) on the Facebook freshers group that the uni sets up for their accommodation, and yes, I'm still living with them all in second year and we get on so so well! We're all really good mates and do pretty much everything together 😊
