Hello there! First and foremost, thank you so much for the kind works! Well, to start of, I started drawing as a child! Believe it or not, Art is also one of my hated subjects in school because we do all those colour theory + traditional art which I’m not a fan of.
When I was 15, I began to take art seriously because I realised, I can do it? Obviously, it wasn’t the best but I tried what I could. Fortunately for my school, we were allowed to do digital art for our coursework so I did that and that’s when I realised I love doing digital art. Sadly, we don’t learn much in art class so whatever I’ve learnt in art is based off online. Then, I went to a game design course and did some more art (+other things) there but because I was a horrible student, I’ve forgotten everything I’ve learnt. (seriously)So to answer your question, yes I do take art lessons but most of the time is me looking up tutorials online. Honestly speaking, I’m the worse person ANYONE can ask for art advice because yes, while I may post happy/colourful art, there are moments when I think my art is bad. People who follow me on twitter may notice me roasting my art a lot but I believe it’s fine. It’s fine to accept your art for what it is because if you don’t, who will? My other advice is watch speedpaints and observe how they chose colours+blend the colours. The thing about art is observe. Observe a lot on how people work. It is fine to not know what you’re doing because neither do I! Explore the different ways to draw things and find what is most comfortable for you. Art is hard but try your best. Good luck!
