Storm is a very emotional person. He tries not to show it to others-- sometimes he doesn't even do that on purpose, he's just so used to wearing a happy go lucky mask, and his face is 'broken' in that he's smiling most of the time.
To those that know him, the difference between his usual smile and a genuine one is like night and day.
Even as he doesn't show his emotions, they're bubbling underneath the surface. Those close to him can tell when this is happening. Sooner or later, he tends to need to let off steam, either in the form of sparring when he's angry, or by outright breaking down when he's sad.
He's a bit of a hypocrite in that he doesn't think emotions are something that should be hidden away. He wouldn't judge someone for crying, he doesn't think of it as weakness.
But he hides his own away either since he doesn't want people to fuss over him (he thinks their energy could be spent elsewhere and on someone that 'really needs it') or he knows there's people that'll try and exploit that and he isn't about to give them ammo.
Storm does have people he's close to that he can let his guard down around and let his true emotions show. But even with them, if there are times of crisis he will act like he's okay. There's more important things to worry over, and he'd rather not add on the pile of problems everyone's concerned over. He's gotta take care of everyone else, they shouldn't worry over him. He's fine
Sharp is a bit of a mixed bag. He can get pretty emotional, but the emotion that he shows freely or that tends to come out anyway is anger.
He could actually be feeling angry, but he could also be hiding his fear and grief behind that anger. It's something he's so used to that he just does it automatically. It gets frustrating as he tries to get better, since when he gets startled or caught off guard by something he yells. And he's with people he doesn't want to yell at.
Right now he has two people in his life he'll let his walls down around. It takes a bit, but he does show his true emotions around them, even if he still finds it nerve wracking at times after nearly a whole lifetime of a'if you show a softer side, the world will tear you apart' mindset
Zel isn't outwardly emotional a lot of the time (that up there is him attempting to smile for a photo)
He's pretty blunt, both in his expressions and the things he says. The world is fairly new to him-- and he hadn't expected to be part of it. So he tends to think a lot about the things he experiences, and what he might feel about them. Sometimes he sits and processes things for a bit.
Some things do strike a chord with him immediately, but he doesn't think it'd be productive to react with anger or sadness to people that clearly just want to see a reaction out of him.
But sometimes he will snap and get angry-- especially since it's a sort of threat display for him.
With more upsetting things though? He tends to carry those emotions with him until he can be alone with Kalin. Kalin's the one person he'll open up to about being upset, because he knows that's who he's safe with
