What is HOT water anyway?

Seriously, the things I think about when I overthink things. Like, for Jusenkyo's sake, what is HOT water? Apparently, based on what triggers it, it isn't THAT hot.

Like, Jusnkeyo is magic and water based, so the triggers should follow the water scale, using Celsius. That means water is between 0-100 and if it used that, "HOT" water should be on the upper end, near boiling, yet, hot springs and baths worth, not even super hot ones either. Considering the recommended temp for these is 95-105 Freedom units or about 32-40 C, this is showing that Jusenkyo works on a human comfort scale rather than water.

I get it, magic, don't have to explain shit, but this means that Jusenkyo is taking living beings into account, not water, and, as such, should be using the Freedom scale since at about 95 is good enough, meaning it wants an A+ from water to change back. And we have seen cold water not needing to be near freezing, just the average pool or water used for carrying buckets is enough. And these are not THAT cold. Pools for use in schools are set to a minimum of like 77 Freedoms and usually much higher, like 85. Considering that Furinkan uses theirs and no one complains about it being freezing, they are keeping it to a good temp of like 23 C or whatever.

That means this temperature difference for triggering the curse isn't that big, as jumping from pool to jacuzzi can change it. Very human centric.

Ranma is very fortunate for that, otherwise, he would be burning himself to change back.

I have been thinking about this, but Mousse really punches wayyyyy above his station when it comes to the narrative.

Like, in the Romantic plot of Ranma 1/2, he is narratively on the same level as Konatsu, Akari, and Tsubasa, yet he has way more screen time and things to do, even if it kinda doesn't make sense?

Like, he is after Shampoo, Akane's rival for Ranma, he is so far removed from the Ranma/Akane plot that he shouldn't have stuck around yet he did. This is mostly due to his curse and as a guy to fight, but on the romantic side of things, he sticks out so much. Like, the cast can mainly be broken down into a few groups when it comes to the romantic plot. The main couple, those that support them getting together, the rivals, those who support the rivals, and the ones who are in love with the rival. And Mousse outshines everyone in his group by a ton. He is the first one who shows up, well before Ukyo, and he plays a large role in multiple storylines.

The only other character that comes close to being this insignificant to this plot yet get this much screen time is Happosai because he DNGAF if Ranma and Akane get together.

Yes I’m aegosexual/aromantic, yes I write shipping fics and yes I read smut. I can enjoy shit without it always being aro/ace oriented but I would still like some ducking representation pls

Just because I consume and create non-aro/ace spec content, does not mean I don’t also create and consume aro/ace spec content.

Stop using the “but I know an ace/aro who likes (insert ship) so they don’t care about representation” (this can go both ways, either an allo or a different aspec person) as an excuse

We can enjoy more then just our identities but we would also like to see our identities more! Thank you

Fucking thank you, this is so hard for people to understand. I do not want to participate in these things but damn it, I will write them because they are fun to write. At times, I wish I was just a robot, a computer program, or a head in a jar like Futurama so I don't have to deal with all these expectations and shit, because I just won't ever be a willful participant in romance or sex. I like it, from a distance, and not even my queer friends get it so I just do not talk to them about it at this point.
