Have you ever did any musical collaborations with other artists? (ie living tombstone, brandon yates)

Avatar

Nope! I'm used to my work flow being very solo. It'd be fun to do a collaboration at some point though!

(Also sorry if you asked this months/years ago, I only just found where all my asks are)

Hey.

Sorry if I’m interrupting anything.

I’m just curious.

Regarding the Monkey Wrench soundtrack (which I love btw), what would you say are the main influences you took inspiration from when putting it together?

(The soundtrack for episode 4 reminded me a lot of Marathon (the Bungie game series) for some baffling reason)

If it’s okay to ask.

It is okay to ask!

Monkey Wrench has a few different genres and influences in there. Way back when we first started, Zeurel gave me some fantastic jumping off references for the tone he wanted. One being the Cheech and Chong soundtrack (which you won't be able to un-hear in Monkey Wrench)

And then it's mixed in with lots of influences of my own. It being such a guitar driven soundtrack, lots of stuff I listened to when learning guitar in my teens comes through.

The influences I personally notice the most are: Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Franz Ferdinand, little bit of Jimi Hendrix, Neverhood/Skull Monkeys, Curse of Monkey Island (it only just now occurs to me how many have "monkey" in their titles)

Each episode often has some new genres and influences in there. Like I hear a lot of Jamiroquai in Scratch and the Thicc Chicc Casino stuff

Boy howdy it's been a fun couple of days!

Reception for Ep 4 has been pretty swell, beating out Ep 3's 24 hour record by 50k views.

Let's see if we can crack 500k by this coming Wednesday.

In other news we're hoping to start work on Ep 5 soon. If we can get the Kara plush campaign over the 400+ sold mark we should have enough money to at least start the voice recording for the new ep.

Merch not your thing? Check out the series patreon!

As always we thank you guys for the support and hope you have a happy chrimbo~

We'll update everyone on ep5 come the new year.

OH LORD what a monster this one was. Originally we were going to do the hybrid animatic style but after getting a good half of the ep done and watching back I personally didn't like how it ended up looking so I decided to knuckle down for an additional 3-4 months to get it fully animated.

It nearly killed me.

I hope you enjoy this cliff hanger episode.

Ash & I are already getting ep 5 set up. It's gonna take a while before we can start the ball rolling though, so I appreciate the patience from you folks!

Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna go into a coma for the remainder of the year.
