Hi! I'm Madeleine, an illustrator and concept artist making board games and whatever else fancies me. I love to paint anything fantasy and historical, with a touch of fan art once in a while. :) I often change interests however. When I'm not drawing, I'm writing, sewing, reading or doing other creative things. You can download my queer, romance, slice-of life book Far From Miklagardr here! Hi! I really love the way you do hair - do you have any sort of little mini tutorial of how you do it, usually?
Hi!! Thank you so much!! Tbh I mostly go with the flow but I did keep some layers on my latest illustration so I'll try and explain it haha. (also please ignore my bad handwriting, maybe I should've used the text tool but uh too late) I try to think about the flow of the hair in my sketch, and then continue to keep it throughout the rendering process. After the color and first pass of shadows I merge the sketch down and I start to paint, while continuing to keep those shapes I had in the beginning. Sometimes I go too overboard and have to go back a little. And then at the end I add a few strands of hair going outside of the shapes for some last details.
Idk how much this helps since it can change from time to time, but I hope it explains it somewhat!
I don’t even go here
Happy Easter! This witch might be a day late to catch the start of the party at Blåkulla but I'm sure she'll have plenty fun over easter weekend!
Happy Easter, and safe travels to Blåkulla tomorrow.
It's that time of the year again ✨
