as a knitter, you start to notice how rare it is for characters in tv shows and movies to knit correctly. from worst to best, it ranges from:

- laughably incorrect, just flinging yarn around

- knitting the most basic scarf incredibly slowly because the actor Learned How To Do It For The Role

- old lady actresses casually knitting an intricate lace pattern while doing a monologue

- gromit from wallace and gromit

1. that’s a garter stitch, which you can clearly see despite it being made of clay

2. they took the time to animate a modified continental style of knitting, including showing how his working yarn is wrapped around his pinky, and that he’s flicking with his index on his right hand

3. he only has four fingers and yet this is better than the vast majority of knitting on tv

part 1 part 2 part 3 you are here

I enjoyed this project and learned a lot from it everything from panels to shading. It was an absolute challenge translating this amazing story into the form of a comic. In What Makes A Hero,  the author has a way of bringing to life even the smallest of moments between dialog. I took a minimalist approach having simply an expression without dialogue in some panels. sometimes a look says everything, but with that said, read the original story to get the in-depth inner monologue. I took some liberties: in the story, Midna should still appear as a ghostly silhouette, but for the sake of visual media, I have her form fully present. Choosing the color scheme was the funest part, the chapter really emphasized the cool cold and bleak situation in Lakebed Temple, so that translated to blue shadows and highlights with a red midtone. This made Midna’s hair pop! perfect, since she’s the focus here. Anyway, I Highly recommend >> What Makes A Hero << by Selphie Kinneas 175.  It’s adventurous, action-packed, and the characters are wonderfully brought to life!

1) Love the toga, can't get enough of drawing scrunched and draped fabric 2) It took forever to get used to the absence of Revali's gale even if there are alternatives 3) New Korok game 4) Hero of Time's amiibo had me laughing

WELL... as of now, I don’t know if I’ll be adding TotK directly into LU. It's still up for change. My head is still spinning from the whole adventure. So maybe in time I’ll collect my thoughts better.
