you may have heard already but... the 2024 IDW Sonic Annual is out!! thank you all for waiting patiently. the whole team poured our hearts into this book, and i found it a joy & honor to contribute to it.
For My Destiny is a story close to my heart — it’s soft but strong, and i hope yall enjoy it and resonate with it in some way. and not only was it wonderful to write, it was also wonderful to color Adam Bryce Thomas's amazing art. happy reading!

Hey, this is going to be weird, but I really like the color palettes you use in your backgrounds.
I wanted to ask you if it wouldn't be too much trouble to, where you get the palettes from? or how you make them?
not weird at all! i don't have a particular source for my palettes -- unless it's for something that i need to keep on-model, like Sonic work -- i just pick what feels right to me! i tend to gravitate towards sunset colors, like purple/pink/orange, especially when scenes take place outdoors or in a city. and for more pop-like backgrounds, i just go off the rails and have fun with every color that i enjoy!
